PR STRAZKATZ KINGSTON OF FYRCHARMR
Oct. 16, 2006 to Jan. 8, 2009

Kingston was my red male Somali. He was very young at only 2 years old. When he was 10 months old we learned he suffered with stomatitis. 6 months ago he started to vomit on a regular basis. We ran blood tests and could not find a cause. 2 months later we got his vomiting under control with prednisolone. But his health never really improved and continued to decline.

Recently Kingston quit eating. This time the blood test revealed auto immune anemia. He was so severe he was in immediate need of a blood transfusion. Knowing this would be a life long battle for him I decided it was best for him to let him go.

Kingston was so very beautiful. I'm sorry you had to make this choice, but I know that sometimes there is nothing we can do but to let them go.

how sad to lose your precious boy in the prime of his life
Your actions prove that sometimes the truest love is the one that lets go - he's not hurting anymore, poor baby.
Godspeed over RB, Kingston - play happily with our RB TCS kitties and please find my RB friends Grace & Michelle & give them headbutts for me

OMG I am SO sorry. If I feel this sad reading about it, then I can't imagine what you must be going through.

I remember the first time I saw a photo of him and was wowed by his tail because it looked just like a fox's brush.

I find this doubly upsetting, not just for your loss which is bad enough, I've seen photos of Kinsgton and admired his progress the entire time I've been at TCS, but because one of my own cats (2yrs old) the boy that was given to me has lost some teeth and may have stomatitis, I am fearful about what his future may hold, I am going to hug him tight tonight and if he pokes me in the face with his paw I will just let him do it and give him another hug just in case.

I am so sorry for your loss.
