barbering

So my cat has been ripping her fur out, and when I took her to the vet they said it was called "barbering", they ran blood tests and did a physical exam and said that it doesn't seem to be caused by a physical problem, that is probably just mental, it seems like to me that she has a separation anxiety because it happens a lot more when I'm not home, it used to be only if I went out of town, now it doesn't seem to matter when its she gets all worked up when i got to work even... I've thought about maybe getting another cat for her, however she won't share a litter box and even if I were to get another box if the other cat went in it just once she'd stop using it, she has tons of toys everywhere, I don't know what else to do, anyone have any suggestions?

I personally would try a holistic vet ...
