Hooray! It's Friday!!!

Looks like it's going to be a nice day today. Birds are singing in the trees outside, and Blondie's here in the window chattering at them.

This has been a long week for me; I travel for my job, usually locally, but this week I felt like I lived in the car! I was in Scranton PA on Wednesday and Rehoboth Beach DE yesterday. Both are about 2.5 hours from my home. On the bright side, I did get to the beach after yesterday's work was done, and waded in the ocean up to my calves. I haven't been to the shore in about 5 yrs, and until yesterday I didn't realize how much I missed it. Standing there staring out into the distance, listening to the waves and the gulls, I felt like all the knots of tension and stress in me were loosened, like a weight lifted off of me. It was so incredibly relaxing and refreshing for body and spirit!

When I was a kid, we used to go to the shore all the time. Now I want to move to the shore!

Phew - what a week!!

Today we celebrate 1 week in our new offices! My little marketing company has moved out of the back bedroom stakes and is now firmly ensconced in smart town centre serviced offices.

The weather continues to be warm and sunny the only thing is the cats don't get their supervised garden scamper during the day now that I'm in the office, they have to make do with a half hour in the morning and a couple of hours after work.

It's SOOO tempting working in the town centre to just browse the shops at lunchtime, but so far I have resisted . . . not usre how long that will last though . . .

Going to buy our pram at the weekend - however I'm not allowed to take it home until the baby is born, my MIL says it's mega-bad luck, so the pram will have to live at my mother's house for the next few months.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Just noticed that the lilac tree all the way in the back of my yard is in bloom! It was hard to see behind some of the other foliage. I am going to go out and cut some and bring it in, I love the way lilacs smell! Hopefully I can convince the cats it is not a snack for them. Midnight in particular loves to eat flowers.

Blechy day! It's been cloudy and rainy the past few days-it makes it very hard to get out of bed in the morning. Today should be OK, though. One of the sales reps is taking our lab out to lunch in Little Italy today. Mmmmm, spaghetti!

Yola, that's an interesting superstition I've never heard before. I wonder how that came about?

Everyone have a good weekend!

Alex and I are going to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra tonight! It'll be my first time! He's a really good musician, and loves classical music, so for Christmas I got him tickets to an all Mozart concert (one of his absolute favorite composers). And the date is finally here! I'm so excited! We're going out to dinner somewhere nice, too. I'll let y'all know how it goes . . .

Anyway, before that, hopefully we're going to look at churches, for our wedding. (We still don't know where we're having it yet!!) So, hopefully we'll have some luck there!

It's rainy here too folks, though I can't say that I mind, thunder is intersting to listen to, I just wish there was more of it. I like the violent ones!

I'm trying to find something to occupie my brain and time until we leave HOPEFULLY pick up my car!
I'm waiting for the auto insurance lady to call me back, cause since this new car is actually worth something I want to get some collision and comprehensive coverage on it. Though she said I might not be able to get that until Monday... (that's rather annoying)... so I'm waiting, and waiting some more.

I can only clean everything so many times! I need something else, hee hee.
Gosh... I hate it when the internet gets boring.

Movin' on up!
Just finished up my first week, at the new job. So far, so good. We have three more weeks of training.

On today's test, 80% was passing - below that, you're outta here! I got a 94, so I still have a job.

Trying to get laundry and other weekend stuff done, today. I want to go down and see the kids, tomorrow. The twins will be two weeks old, tomorrow and I need more pix.

So far, my ex has sent 4 checks, totalling $100.00. I KNEW that he was going to jerk me around, this last month! Of course, I have MY ways, of getting even. You would think, that after 14 years, he'd know not to underestimate me.

That sounds like the weather here, only it's been going on for weeks instead of days!
Everything looks so fresh and new now, and the flowering trees are really pretty.

I totally understand how you feel! What a perfect explanation of it all. I tried to move to calgary once and I was there for four months before I had to move back. I didn't miss my family as much as I missed the mountains, the ocean and the saltiness in the air.

Yola, I've never heard of this before. I thought everybody prepared their baby's rooms before the baby arrived.

Viva, I want to hear all the details! I sure hope you find something nice for your wedding.

Angel, did you get in an accidnt or something? I totally missed what that was about.

Ooh, I miss the Jersey shore. We're really landlocked here. I have such fond memories of Wildwood (ok, we went there when I was a kid, for the amusements), Ocean City and Cape May. How's Sacha/Pooh Bear doing?

IA. If you need me, just meow..
poopy day again for me. I really need to get out of there. My reginal manager and I got into a huge arguement becausethe management staff and I talked to the president and she got all bent out of shape about it. I hate her I really do! I just wish she'd go away!
On the positive side though, it was a beautiful day and the cats were excited because the birds were out by the dozens! I wish I could have just been home watching my cats while they were checking out all the birds, i know there were lots of them since when I left the bird feeder was full and I just got home 14 hours later and it was empty empty I mean really empty! so I can imagine all the activity the cats had to see! LOL! That's what keeps me going each day, the thought of my kitties enjoying their days lounging around watching the birds, rabbits, and squirrels. I swear it keeps me sane some days! LOL!( and the thought of coming home to be able to talk with all of you guys!
