I took my brother and his SO out to dinner this evening. I left the restaurant up to them. By this morning they still hadn't decided, so I through out themes. They jumped at Greek, so that's what we had. They picked a restaurant across town. The restaurant itself was great and the food delicious and plentiful. However, its a small place and they don't take reservations, which means that people come and have to stand inside the doors and wait to be seated. Unfortunately there is no place for them to go and sit and wait, and there are 2 tables directly across from the door, one of which we were sitting at. So when the door was opened we were blasted with a cold draft. I actually had to put my coat on part way through the meal because I was freezing.
If we go again I'm going to ask to wait to be seated until a table away from the door is available, rather than sit near the door and freeze because people keep coming in and standing there with the door open because there is no room for them inside.
But it was a nice evening. Both my brother and I are making an extra effort to be more a part of each other's lives by phoning and getting together more often. It's nice and he said that he's happy with our "new found friendship"
