I'm thinking about getting out of the army and maybe becoming a Flight Dispatcher which is the closest thing to my MOS that you can get. I was wondering if anyone knows anyone that is a Flight dispatcher and can tell me what kind of stuff they do day to day and any other information they might have on it. Thanks

Having done that early on in my aviation career, I can tell you it's a high stress and low paying job. I'd especially not recommend it at this time. Commercial aviation is not a secure field right now, and there are thousands of people in the field looking for jobs already. Chances aren't really good of finding an opening.

Now Air Traffic Control is another story, the Feds have lots of openings. That's HUGE stress, but much better pay and federal benefits that would let you keep your rank and convert it over to a GS rating.

Good luck!
