What do you do when your crf cats have colds?
She is sneezing and has runny eyes.
She also threw up last night.
It was just water.
When she gets colds her asthma acts up.
She is on Baytril for her bladder infection still and has a inhaler for her asthma.
She does not want to eat very much.
Should I give her the pepcid a/c?
The vet said she dosent need to come in unless it gets worse.

I call the vet cause a URI can sometimes be more serious than a basic infection...

I think she gets sick easier because of all her problems.
We found out she had crf last Sept.
She can not even get her kidney panel until she is off the Baytril.

Aww, how old is she? Isn't it common for crf to show up in senior cats?

Thanks,
Yea its common in cats her age.
She is almost 17.
We did tell the vet that she got sick from Cleo.
They said watch her and if she acts bad they will get her in.
I have asthma meds for her but am worried a cold will set her asthma off.

I think that she is already acting bad for what you are saying... What does she mean by that? If you are so worried, why not take her to the vet for peace of mind? She is older, fragile because of all of her other health problems... I think in her case her health can go downhill pretty fast, so I would take her to the vet just in case. Just my opinion mews, for what is worth
Vibes for sweet coco!

She is ok without going to the vet right now.
Her asthma is ok right now.
If her asthma acts up we will se the vet.
They always get her in fast.

I wish Coco to get better, I wish I could help you but I have no idea how... !! Can't the Baytril do something for the URI ? or you have to give her something else?

Best regards

The baytril should help it.She has 5 baytril pills left for her uti.
That is why the vet said Coco dosent have to come in right now.
Oreo Cookie Monster has a uri also.
Cleo started it.
I hope Meeko and Sasha do not end up with it.
Of course Meeko has active herpes right now.

Thanks,
I think Coco gets colds colds easier because of her problems.
Her nose is running a little bit today and so far her asthma is ok.
She does not ahve a fever.
