Thanks everyone

When I got up this morning I made him up a box to go in. I wrapped him up in a new pink blanket I got for him to lay on when he came back from the hospital. Then I put him in front of a big picture of him and lit 2 candles.

Someone gave me a beautiful box for Christmas so I`ve put his last 2 collars and tags in it with a photo and a brush he liked and a little bit of his fur. Oh and two of his favourite bottle rings.

They came to collect him about quarter to two this afternoon. I stroked him and kissed him one last time before he went.

I can`t believe he is gone

Linny, I'm so sorry you've lost your sweet boy. There are no words for the hole in your heart, but like many others here, I know that sad place you are in today. You went the extra mile for your boy, and then you gave him the selfless gift of release from his trials. He'll be watching over you. Be gentle with yourself, OK?

Peace.

RIP Sweet Kitty

Linny,

I'm so very sorry that your physical time with Kitty has come to an end. He will always be with you, though. He will be watching over you from the Bridge, and always always with you in your heart and soul.

Your love for that sweet and beautiful little soul shines through in your words and actions. We can feel it around the globe. Kitty feels it across the Bridge, as strongly as he did when he was lying next to you.

Rest peacefully, play happily, and know how much love surrounds you, Kitty.

Sending you prayers and vibes of healing and comfort Kitty was so fortunate that you made him your little treasure
Your shrine to him was a lovely tribute and your love still shines out to him, over the Bridge

Linny, just wanted you to know I'm still thinking of you and Kitty

I know it doesn't seem like it now, but it will get better. You never stop missing them, never stop wishing they were with you physically, but in time you will be able to remember the happy times with Kitty instead of just the sadness of saying goodbye.

Your beautiful boy will always be with you

Thank you everyone
Your kindness means so much

It probably sounds really mean but I can`t let Maisie out
Now Kitty is gone there is no need for her to be living in the big bedroom. I don`t need to sleep in the little cupboard either. I don`t need to squish myself up on one half of the bed so there is room for Kitty to stretch out, but I still do it.
I even struggled to wash the sheets today incase they still smelt of him

I miss him snuggled up on my leg when I`m on the computer, I miss him sleeping next to me, I miss the sound of the cat-flap when he`s coming in and out, I miss his bell jangling on the glass beer mug that he liked to drink from...

Linny, you and Maisie have some serious bonding to do. You both need each other right now, and nows the time to do it. I think you both need to spend as much time as possible together to help each other heal

Please come out the cupboard chick, and go back into your own room with Maisie, because she needs to cuddle with you at night as well

In a state of misery w/o my Bella
Aww Linny
I understand, I really do, yet Maisie needs you too now, and you need her. You know Kitty would want you to take comfort in Maisie right now
When I lost Bella, I was destroyed, just like you are
but I don't know what I would have done with out my other babies to comfort me and me comfort them, they were hurting too
Give it some thought, I know it's hard

Linny, its so heartbreaking to me to know that your heart is broken.

Im going to 3rd what Susan and Helen are saying, I really think you will find so much healing in reaching out to Maisie and Maisie will, too.

When I lost Babygirl, finding Easy and then her having her babies, helped me SO MUCH. I was sad, I was devastated, but having them near me to help me feel something different than this sad, deep pain.

They helped me grieve. I still felt sad, but I got to also feel love, too. Love is always healing.

I wish you werent across the pond, we all will be here for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please, let Maisie comfort you and share your life. You are not being unfaithful to Kitty by doing so.

My Eli and Anna are a big comfort to me now that I lost Furrari and I am having to comfort Anna because she lost a friend, too.

I know how much you are hurting and everything just seems so hard right now. You'll get through this.
I am going to be a fourth and agree with the others. Maisie is confused too and is going to be looking to you for guidance. You don't have to do everything all at once, maybe just a little at a time. Let Maisie in and let her comfort you. We all know she won't replace Kitty in your heart, but let her help you in her own Maisie way.

I am so sorry to hear this... I haven't been on much lately and just saw this. Maisie could be a big comfort to you (and you to her) if you let her. I know it is hard and it may take time for you to be able to enjoy your usual activities and Maisie, but you will again eventually even if you don't feel like it now. No one can tell you what will be best for you and what will ease your grief however there have been some really good suggestions on this thread. Please, feel free to PM me if you need to talk.
