Curious to see what other's drive.

This is my baby:

My first new vehicle. A 2007 Dodge Ram, quad cab, short box with 5.7L Hemi.

I love it. Her name is Eeek btw. I got it in April of 2007

Of course, with gas prices, it's been a catch 22. She is a gas guzzler, like most trucks are. Now that gas has dropped back down, she is almost affordable to drive

I didn't get my lisence till later in life, I was 26 when I finally got my full lisence (darn graduated lisencing here). I learned how to drive on my hubbys 93 Ford explorer.... it's pretty much the only thing I've driven. (I rented a car once, but its safe to say, I feel the most comfortable and safe in the larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks).

My hubby has a company vehicle, Montana SV6.

But his baby is an 83 Cougar that he rebuilt himself.

I've been getting more mechanical since I've been with him

His baby is only driven from spring to fall, then put away for the winter. She gets better treatment than I do sometimes LOL

One can never be too safe....

So let's see some rides

(yah, I kinda like cars.... )

We went to a CatJam in OH one summer.... its specific to Cougar owners... there was some AMAZING cars there... some modified, some original.

LOL. The Montana's are pretty good vans eh. I haven't heard any complaints about them. My hubby has a 06 or 07 SV6 that he has put through alot (work related...he drives alot...tows a huge generator with it, etc) and there's been nothing other than the usual probs from wear and tear.

My ride isn't very glamorous...just a '92 Honda Accord, with 90,000 miles on it. It's never needed any service beyond routine maintenance. It's a very dependable car, and I love it. I bought it new in 1992. Recently I've thought about getting a new car, but I have a hard time justifying the car payments and increased insurance rates, when there's absolutely nothing wrong with my current ride.

I don't have a car right now, I have a very hard time not crashing them

The kids father has a dodge dakota sport 4x4 which I love to drive. It is the first standard I have driven and I taught myself to drive it my self.
I only have one picture of it but it was after HE hit some one and stove up the front end. It doesn't have a name but I do call it winking willie because he busted out the drivers side head light.

I don't have my truck any more but my baby was the first truck I ever bought when I was 18. I loved it it was an 81 chevy step side with a 400 small block with duel exaust, and a four barrel, which I had unhooked because it was way too fast for me and I hated to watch the gas gauge going down every time I stepped on the peddle
It could burn a tire
But I wouldn't because I had special low rider tires on it that made it look really cool (and I paid over 600 for them)
I bought the truck when I got my settlement from a car accident I was in when I was 15 that almost killed me (no I wasn't driving that time
since I didn't have a lisence yet) And ironically I killed it in an accident trying to avoid a stupid deer because I had just painted it and didn't want to get any dents or sratches on it. So instead I hit the dirt on the side of the road which launched me into the midian gaurdrail and rolled me. then an 18 wheeler driven by new balance smashed into it while it was sitting on the side of the road and just busted it in pieces so the only pics I have of it are after that and I don't know where they are, I think my mom has them put away, they are way too depressing to look at

Sweet rides...both of em. What year is the Corvette? Looks to be in great condition. I'm not much for Corvettes, I don't really like cars with the long front end... just personal preference. But I can definately appreciate a good looking car, even tho I don't like the style myself.

no way just keep the car you have. If it only has 90,000 miles it still has a long way to go. Definitely not worth the payment to get a new one when yours still has like many years left. Our 94 honda had 200,000 miles and it was still driving pretty good when we sold it. We sold it to get s truck.
I have a Honda accord 97 with 130,000 and it drives perfect. I love it.

if you do get a new one let me know. We need a second car hey and it would be the perfect excuse to take a trip to Michigan so I can visit my grandparents and brother. lol

It's a 1982 Corvette. Honestly, that car is a money pit. Right now it's in the shop with major electrical problems and I am dreading the repair bill. All our vehicles are paid for and it's not a good time for us to add a new car payment to our budget. It's fun to drive when it's running good!

I have a 2008 Mazda 3. It just turned 6,000 miles a couple weeks ago. I posted a pic when I bought it, but don't have that photo any more.

Leisel the Diesel - 2001 Jetta TDI - my car (3,520 kms on 3.25 tanks of gas)
1997 Passat Station Wagon TDI - hubby's car (better mileage than my car)
200? Mini-Cooper - DD's car. (Not so practical since it needs high octane gas)

I used to date a fellow with a corvette and although they are cool to look at I found them to be a rough ride. (He finally sold it and got a Pantera instead.) I didn't like driving the 'vette as much as I loved driving my brothers 1972 Dodge SuperBee.

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer... I got it used after the Grief Van... that thing kept breaking down, I only had it for five months and spend nearly 5K trying to keep it running. the last straw was it showing problems on my first road trip out of Portland... I stopped in Cottage Grove, OR and eventually pulled into the dealership. four hours later, they said they wouldn't be able to get parts until Monday (it was Friday). I relented and looked at what they had... I hate sedans and minivans, prefer pickups and larger vehicles... so I found my Explorer... it had just been traded in. It's been virtually problem free for over two years now. You can tell which company (Ford or Chevy) I prefer...

Here's Freddie (I also name my vehicles, my last Ford was Fernando, or Ferdie for short) in front of a massive Sequoia as I was driving down to visit family.

I put a little red heart, via Photobucket's editing system, over my license plate. There are now a lot more bumper stickers on there... but some need replacing... they're getting annihilated by weather and brats who think its funny to mess with my stickers.

And here's a couple weeks ago, in the middle of the ice storm we had here... He's covered in about 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch of ice... it all came from one direction, so the passenger side was somewhat clear... although when it snowed again, it got covered in show on top of the ice...

I know I have a picture somewhere but can't locate it on my computer. I drive a Toyota Prius (hybrid). I bought it before the gas prices skyrocketed and have been really happy to have it the last year or so.

My gf is going to smack me for this but here's my stuff:

1968 VW Type 1. It's supposed to be my main car, but the latest mechanical nightmare is some sort of funky wheel-speed thumping that could be as simple as brake drums or as involved as changing the transaxle...

Has mostly stock, mostly new 1600 singleport motor. Rebuilt heads, new everything else. Here's the longblock sitting on the tranny jack in my kitchen...

My other ride is a 1986 VW Vanagon (7-passenger model).

I've done my fair share of wrenching on both cars. Van has a rebuilt motor (again, i built it myself) and too-many-dollars in new parts. It's fairly reliable, but I'm always looking for coolant leaks, and I carry too many tools.

If you can believe it, I commute between 20,000 and 40,000 miles a year. In those rotting hulks.

I currently drive a 99 Dodge Intrepid that is on it's last leg. Her name is Drambuie or Buie for short and I'm going to miss her but I can't afford any more repairs and she needs a new rack & pinion.
We're hoping to adopt my parents Chrystler Town & Country mini-van but if that doesn't pan out then I'm going to try my best to convince DH that we should get a Toyota Matrix!
