This is my 1997 GMC Jimmy

Being very picky about color and style I looked around at used trucks for months before I found this one. I just happened to go by and saw this on the lot and knew I was going to buy it.

This picture was taken the day I brought him home six years ago. Even after all these years he still looks this good.

I don't think anyone wants to see a pic of a '98 red Plymouth Neon, with a head-shaped dent on the hood! (Courtesy of my brother years ago. He was in the garage rafters above my car, and fell head-first!).

Yeah I wouldn't consider giving that car up just yet.

I currently drive a 2007 ford focus but the car I traded for it was a 1993 Toyota Camry with 190,000 miles. The car was in great condition but was getting to the point of needing major repairs. When the AC finally went, in the dead of summer none the less, that was it. I wasn't going to spend 700 plus dollars to get it fixed.

Now I have a fault solinoid? which is sometimes not allowing me to put my van in gear. eventually ti will fail. So I need to take it in again. I also sometimes have problem with my transmission, it shifts really hard into first gear. It has more rattles than my 1995 ford contour, I was driving. Dh bought me the van because he thought the contour was too unrealiable
How long have you had the car? If it's really a lemon you should be able to get a replacement. I heard somewhere (haven't verified it) that the Lemon Law says 3 strikes and the car is out.

I am another very proud Prius driver!!
What I am most proud of is all the crap I've put it through for search and rescue and how much of my gear, including my dog, that it holds.

Can't help but notice, though- very few of you have license plates!!
Why is that? Those photos can't be edited... Weirdness...

Edit: Just went back and actually counted, and ok, it's not "very few", but a surprising number don't have them!

We've got 6 cars:

Daily driver, 1992 Acura Integra LS. Bought it two years ago Saturday with 167,000 on it, now at 224,000 miles and running strong:

My baby - 1984 Camaro Z28. Bought it in 2003 when I was 16
Putting a LS1/6 speed in it, gonna be our fun car until hubby's car is finished too. This one was after the dragstrip with the old 305/5spd:

Rob's baby - 1986 Monte Carlo SS Rob bought in Dec 2001 around his 16th birthday. He's got a LC2 Turbo Buick engine to go in it:

Our 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT - planning on getting rid of it soon, we dont really need it for anything:

Our 1988 Pontiac Trans Am - also planning on getting rid of it. Bought it without a drivetrain last year:

Our 1990 Acura Integra RS, my brother is currently driving it to save money commuting to college. We let him drive it for free until 1. he gets a better job; 2. is out of school:

DH owns a Prius and loves it. It does hold a lot of gear! We moved 8 cats in it one time and regularly take our 3 large dogs out in it.

My pic was the day I bought it, so the plates weren't on it yet. However, front license plates are not provided in some states, including the one that I currently live in (Kansas).

I have had it since new Dec 2 2006 . I have had it to the dealer many times. It has also had a lot of little things. Like the horn not working. airbag rattles. front seat cracked. Undercoating fell off in chunks. The battery needed to be replaced. They have fixed everything free of charge. Everytime we bring it in the service manager (who is a highschool friend of Dh) says no problem you bought extended warrenty. As soon as I can afford to I will be getting a different vehicle.

Indiana is another state which only requires plates on the rear of the vehicle.

Which reminds me - about time to renew the sticker for my plates...

Gorgeous car! Haven't had an SS yet, but I've had 2 1982 Montes, and hubby's had somewhere between 10 and 12 of 'em (he's sleeping, so I can't ask to make sure..
). I'm holding out for another one at the moment...just waiting for the money and the right car to come along.

Putting that Buick engine in that SS will make it awfully sneaky.
I want to set up our Century with a Grand National engine, but hubby wants to go with the Pontiac Turbo T/A motor. We'll see who wins.
