Which picture to use?

These are a bit old, but I haven't caught Nora sleeping on her back recently. She'll roll on her back for pets, but it is only for a couple seconds. I just can't decide between the two. The vertical one I like b/c of the lighting, but the horizontal one has better coloring yet less contrast. For some reason I just could not get the two the same color. *grumble* They were both taken at the same time.

Since this is a tummy contest, I would go with the first one.

I like the verticle one! Like Lee said, it puts the emphasis on the tummy with the shallow depth of field. I also think the cropping and lighting are better on it.

Although I do like the second one too, b/c I think it's a better photo quality.

They are both the same quality of photo, and if anything the first is actually better. Most people are just used to flat focus pictures so they think shallow depth of field is "out of focus". The first one I actually forgot to sharpen it for the web but I did so for the one I submitted in the contest thread.

The first one has much better lighting and is a better photo b/c of the shallow depth of field.

I like #1 because it is a Tommy contest, but #2 is super cute too....

Both are very cute. I like the first one better.
