I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Some things never change. That sounds like exactly the same Christmas dinner they served to us in 1979.

It is really amuses me on how different news organization can report the same thing with a different tone. In the link cblv has the author writes that the marines stayed in thier seats and waited for the president elect to come to them absent of fanfare or cheering as if they did not support him.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/26/obama.holiday/
In this article it is reported that before the president elect came in a marine shouted to all the diners to take thier seats before the president elect came in. Then Barack Obama went to each table to greet the military men and families.
In this one:
http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/ar...WS01/812260358
it reports that many of them stood up to shake his hand, snap photos and get his autograph as he came to their tables.
Now I am sure that there are people in all the branches of the military that don't like Obama but there is plenty that do. Just like the rest of us Americans. But I wouldn't read to much into the first article listed. It wasn't a canned publicity shoot where they gathered everyone together to cheer.

Your comment reminds me of what DH told me once: the tradition is to have steak & eggs for breakfast before going into battle; before Desert Storm, they were promised steak & eggs, but it turned out to be Steak-Umms, with powdered eggs!

Obama is also having a military ball at his inauguration.
Obama Military Inaugural Ball
He's in a tough spot with the military. He treated the leaders pretty roughly during his campaign. The Democrats have a long history of denigrating and downgrading the military. But the rank and file in the military is above the national average in minority members, and it has actually been one of the most successful jobs programs ever operated in our country. (It lifted all the boys in my wife's father's family out of poverty in the 40's and 50's.) I suspect he is the first Democrat to have more than 50% support by the military since FDR.
I am sure he's treading lightly and doing all he can to maintain good relations with all aspects of the military.

Yes, if I remember correctly, Obama accused our military of the wanton bombing and killing of civilians in Iraq. Way to go Barack.

The American people have spoken, so let's give the guy a chance and stop bashing him. Let's see what he can do.
Be a gracious loser, please.
