It is really amuses me on how different news organization can report the same thing with a different tone. In the link cblv has the author writes that the marines stayed in thier seats and waited for the president elect to come to them absent of fanfare or cheering as if they did not support him.http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/12/26/obama.holiday/
In this article it is reported that before the president elect came in a marine shouted to all the diners to take thier seats before the president elect came in. Then Barack Obama went to each table to greet the military men and families.
In this one:http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/ar...WS01/812260358
it reports that many of them stood up to shake his hand, snap photos and get his autograph as he came to their tables.
Now I am sure that there are people in all the branches of the military that don't like Obama but there is plenty that do. Just like the rest of us Americans. But I wouldn't read to much into the first article listed. It wasn't a canned publicity shoot where they gathered everyone together to cheer.
