I was reading on here about Wii games and started to wonder who on here is on Myspace and if you play those app games. I am hooked on those silly things. I am just curious
I have to admit that I am a gamer, I like computer games, Playstation games, board games you name it I pretty much love it
I also like to play on Pogo. What about all of you?

have you checked out our arcade? it's up at the top under Cat Games, right after User CP and FAQ. We have almost 250 games to play!

No myspace or anything like that for me. Puzzle games tend to lose my attention quickly, too.

I rarely have time to play many games anymore but usually prefer games like the DMC series, Chaos Legion, Heavenly Sword, GoW series, etc - along with the occasional RPG. The oddball being the Katamari games. They're strangely addicting.

I used to play Halo some online, but my reaction time is too slow so it leaves me with three options, sniping, sneak attacks, and "grenade sniping" as I like to call it. I checked all the maps in the first two Halo games to figure out just how and where one needed to be to get grenades in certain spots, along with what angle they needed to be thrown at. People hated it.
Other FPS are too fast and make me dizzy so I don't play any other ones.

This reminds me, I need to figure out where the PS2 is and unpack it.

I am into RPGs and Little Big Planet as well as Wii fit. I haven't had my Wii for long so I have yet to try out the other games.

I have a program on my computer for playing card & casino games. My favs are Poker, Texas Hold'em Poker, Crazy Eights, and Cribbage.

I love to play board games too, but don't have anyone to play them with. I have quite a few, but my s/o is a stick in the mud and won't play them with me. I tried getting him to play some after Hurricane Ike blew through b/c there was no power for almost a week and nothing to do but read & play games, but he was being an ole poop.

^ I prefer to play cards with real people. I never have any volunteers, though. People stop playing me when they figure out I can easily bluff them, or just plan ahead too much and keep track of what's in the deck. The same with chess.

I have yet to even play anything on the wii. So far I haven't seen any games that really interest me enough, and most of the better ones are on 360 and PS3 too. There is a copy of No More Heroes sitting around here somewhere (unopened) that I might try out.

And before anyone suggests games, I don't like kiddish stuff and the remote sort of bugs me. All the extra mini games most of the games have irritate me for some reason, too...

I have two kids and I homeschool them and use games a learning tool and we bond over them as well, weird as it sounds.
We have wonderful fun playing them and while Mommy has a break I get on the computer and play games to zone out for a few
but all is good. We have a PS2 but hoping to get a wii here soon. I keep hearing that it is a lot of fun to play and my kids would probably love it as well.

Thank you all for your replys, I love hearing what everyone else does for fun. I dont just play games, I love to read as well. If I'm not buying boardgames or othergames for the kids I am buying books or movies.
My hubby is so patient with me, I have an addiction that he does support.

Have you played the newest Call of Duty: World at War? It has a zombie game in it and from what I've heard everyone say, it's really good - not surprising though as the Call of Duty games are to begin with. Left 4 Dead is another one you might like. My BIL wasn't as impressed but DH really liked it - everyone else says it's "fun".

About once a every few months I google "free download games" and download and play the 60 minute free trial of all of the new games that I find interesting. It's an easy way to just shut your brain off and forget about everything else. Then when I'm done I just go through and delete them all and start over again in a few months.
I've downloaded a couple from Myspace. I'm a game junkie.

You sound a lot like us.

We buy boardgames a lot and actually have all our favorites (including a couple decks of cards, Phase 10, and UNO) sitting on our hearth in the living room. We play them a lot, especially when my brother and sister in law come over. Our favorites right now are Scattegories and Scene It Friends Edition (which my brother and sister in law got me for Christmas.
) We're constantly buying books and movies also. I think almost every time we got out one of us buys a book, in fact I just bought two new books this week, Twilight and Flowers for Algernon, and I just finished The Time Travelers Wife, which was an AWESOME book if you haven't read it yet. My almost 10 year old son is really into the Warriors series, which is actually about clans of cats!
This is the first time he has really gotten into reading books by himself. He has dyslexia so he has always hated reading b/c it is hard for him. It still is, but I think it just took getting him the right books that he was interested in. He loves cats, so the Warriors series helped a ton. If you haven't heard of it... http://www.warriorcats.com/warriorshell.html

I'm a far more casual gamer than my SO, but I confess to having a weakness for survival horror games. Not Resident Evil - some of those have been a little difficult for me - but I like the Silent Hill series, for example.

Strange_wings, I love the Katamari games, too! They make me happy.

I think that's why my s/o won't play with me. I usually beat him.
One time we were playing Poker, and I wiped him out by bluffing him.
He's refused to play since then..

I love boardgames...but I like the ones that require ALOT of thought.

My absolutely favorite game is RISK (any form is fine classic or the newer editions) I play with my guy friends (I'm usually the only girl who will play) and so far I'm UNDEFEATED in classic risk with them.

I like Chess but can't find someone to play with...and I refuse to play with one of my good friends because he is impossible to play with since he was trained by his father who is an international grandmaster in chess.

A game that I always enjoyed but was really bad at UNTIL this weekend when someone explained it VERY clearly is Pool.

Since I love to read and I love words....I like games that require good vocabs. like scrabble, boggle and games like Trivial Pursuit, cranium and I just found a new game that was INSANELY fun and funny...Apples to Apples.

I do like video games...but for those i prefer fighting games or puzzle games.

My husband absolutely LOVES Risk. He is always trying to get me to play it with him, but I refuse. lol It just seems too complicated for me.
