So our male cat is a sweetheart he's about 5 months old as is his sister, and about a month ago he started to pee on my things. Clothes, purses, anything. He's not spraying as he's not backing up like male cats do to spray he squats i've caught him doing it before. As a test I had my husband leave some of his things out on the floor for a couple days along with some of my things. Much not to our surprise he went ONLY on my things. Now I clean their litterbox daily, I really dont know what to do about this. We cant keep a cat that pees on everything of mine, we simply cant afford to wash laundry or throw things out constantly.

I'm at wits end with this cat and it takes alot for me to dislike a cat thats so sweet.

I thought maybe he didnt like me but with the way he loves on me and sleeps next to me or on me I put that aside.

What can we do to stop this? We're getting him fixed soon and hope maybe that will help. But what else can I do if that doesnt help besides give him away?

I may be wrong, but I didn't know that cats that are that young spray yet. If he's loving on you maybe he's urinating on your things because he likes you. But, what do I know, I've been posting for help with my female cats who peed on me.

While he's at the vets have him checked to see if he's sick. If he has an infection he maybe be trying to tell you something.

It sounds to me she is marking you as her "territory". She is taking ownership of you, and letting everybody know about it.

Me too!!
All males don't spray when they are marking, atleast both of mine mark squating. (And the other one stopped when he was neutered).
