Typically, George joins me in sleeping through the alarm, only to wake up once my roommate shouts through the door to let me know I'm going to be late for work. I always use my cell phone as an alarm clock. I just switched to a BlackBerry, and every morning since, he SCREAMEOWS in my face when it rings. He paws at my nose. He dances on my ribs. He sniffs my BlackBerry and swats it onto the floor. If he weren't being so adorable, I'd be pretty angry.

He never did this with any other phone we've had - Roomie and I work for opposing cell phone companies, so we've somewhere around 72 in his lifetime. He simply does not approve of my BlackBerry.

On the plus side, I was early for work today.

I wish my cats would wake me up, they sleep right thru the alarm (along with me
)! In fact, I think they have learned to shut it off

That's too funny. I'll bet after a week or so, though, his antics won't be quite so adorable anymore.

My cats totally learned to shut my regular alarm clock off (all they have to do is walk on it), so now I have to use the clock and my cell.

My furry alarm clock (Arwen) jumps up at my bedroom door and pulls the handle down to let herself in
And after that she will jump on the bed and sniff my face so that her whiskers tickle me. Have gotten used to it now...

If he can keep getting me to work on time, I'll be happy!

Mine have figured out exactly how many times DH and I can his snooze. Once for him twice for me and they freak out and wake us up after than many snoozes. I have to admit, it does help keep me on time for work.

my baby used to wake me up as soon as the sun comes up any time of year, which could be annoying in summer when the sun comes up real early! however now she has learnt that i will give her breakfast no matter what time we get out of bed, so she is patient now, but when its cold in winter she makes it very hard to get out when were both cuddled up under the duvet nice and snug, but i wouldnt have it any other way!

My Hoots used to go insane over the appt door intercom. She was the most docile Ragdoll, But would attack my hand if I answered the door buzzer and she heard a voice. It was like she thought the intruder was eminating from my hand.

My furry alarm goes off at 6:30 am every single day, regardless of whether the mechanical alarm goes off or not. Every day...rain or shine...weekday or weekend...Forest is there at 6:30 meowing his head off. I don't know how he can tell time, but it would appear that he can. If we close the door, he pounds on it and screams until we open it. If we have company, he wakes them up, too.

My mother gave me a sign that says "There's no snooze alarm on a cat who wants breakfast.
