For those of you who may know.

How do you copy multiple photos at one time, if you have more than one that you want to post in a thread?

i copy them 1 at a time. i have my photobucket album open in one tab, & the TCS reply/post open in another, & i go back & forth.
each new photo shows as code, then you can hit return a couple of times & paste a new line of code.
i usually preview the post to check that everything's the way i expected it to be...

example: this is from the cats & computers thread
it looks like this when i paste it [added space, btw]

If you ever figure it out I'd love to know. So far the best I can do is the same as laureen.

Another dodge I find useful is to name the images in a series, somewhat as Laureen has, then paste the same code however times there are pictures and just edit the code for the different images. Thus with Laureen's example, I'd paste Chip's code three times, and then change the relevant numeral...

It's still a dodge, but requires less back-and-forthing.

I hate to sound like a complete idiot
but how do you open a new tab?

Whenever I'm going back & forth between TCS & Photobucket, I end up having to do it the "hard" way.
If I try to "X" out of anything in order to get from one website to the next, I just end up shutting down my browser. Then I have to open it up again.
I just spent the past half hour going back & forth between TCS & Photobucket, so I could post pix in the SS thread. I don't know how to do it any other way, and it's a pain in the butt - especially since I have to log back into Photobucket every time. Argh!

what browser are you using, & which version?

also, you can copy the tags w/o logging into photobucket... i only log in when i need to upload something new.

I'm using IE. I'm not sure which version it is.

How can you copy a tag if you're not logged in?
I know you can copy the link of a pic if it's been posted in a thread, which is what I do if I have one that's already posted (like the one in the calendar thread).

example of a pic on my photobucket album, ready for copying - i just click on the tag & copy...you can see in the upper right-hand corner that i'm not logged in.

ok, looking at that, i scrolled down so you can't see it - but i wasn't logged in until i did so to upload this.
you can also copy the link from the main grid page, but i couldn't take a pic of it. for that, you roll over the pic & the links are displayed.

for IE, if it's the current version, you go to the file menu & choose 'open new tab', i think...which could also be done using the CTRL+T keyboard shortcut.

[font=Comic Sans MS][size=3]What I'm seeing when I'm at Photobucket looks totally different than that. If I knew how to post an example like you just did, I'd show you...

I've been looking around for a "open new tab" option, but haven't located it anywhere..[img]https://statich.thecatsite.com/images/smilies/dontknow.gif

if i were you, i'd just download Firefox - i KNOW it has tabbed browsing!
I'm not sure, but I don't think I have IE-7, and I'm not sure if I want it b/c I believe that's the one that was targeted by that IE flaw a few weeks back. I've been thinking about switching to Firefox, but I'd probably end up having to do some resetting with my programs, and I don't know how to reset stuff.
All I need is to be even more confused than I already am..

at school, where i use a PC, i use Firefox. i much prefer it to IE, even tho the IE on the school computers now has tabbed browsing. Firefox has had it for a couple of years, now.

You can check the box under each photo to select it and then scroll down to the bottom and click on the tab that says "generate HTML and IMG code". You can then copy and paste the code into your post.

Don't you have to reset everything though if you change your browser??

if you mean import bookmarks, then yes - but it can copy the ones you have on IE.

this page - you can scroll down, right? can you have multiple windows open at once? that's what i used to do before the tabbed browsing - i would open IE [like, to TCS or whatever], then choose 'open new window' from the File menu, open photobucket in that window. then copy your code, minimize [flat line, NOT the X] the photobucket window, paste code in TCS window, minimize the TCS window [or you can simply maximize the photobucket window - it'll pop right over the other].
kinda cumbersome, but workable.

I tried doing that already.
As soon as I click on the IMG code to copy it, the first one gets "un-copied".
