Probably a green salad with grilled chicken tonight.
A couple weeks ago I got the yen for lasagna and hubby had a big tub of homemade tomato sauce from our local Italian store. It had been in the refrigerator for about a week and I didn't want it to go to waste so I added some fried ground beef and more tomato sauce to make a nice lasagna sauce. I made 3 pans of lasagna and put them in the freezer - one regular size and 2 smaller ones (one for DD since mommy always makes extra for her even though she has moved to her own placeOriginally Posted by rapunzel47
I'm feeling a major yen for lasagna. Haven't done it in much too long. The question is whether I'll still feel like doing it when I get home. We eat late anyway, so that's not really an issue. The other possibility, of course, is to be making it at a more leisurely pace while I do other things, including a less time-consuming dinner for tonight, and have the lasagna to look forward to tomorrow....
Sometimes I crush regular potato chips and coat chicken pieces (with skin on) and bake. You don't need any oil as there is some in the chicken and also in the potato chips. I just add a wee touch of water to start the baking and cover with foil for about 1/2 hour for the steam to cook them. Then I take the foil off and let them brown and crisp up until they are done.Originally Posted by ScottF
Five chicken legs( I got a deal on chicken legs, 38 cents a pound). I rolled them in Parmesean( the off-brand I got at the dollar store has a consistency of flour), oregano, and black pepper. I then cooked them in my JetStream Oven and they turned out fantastic( juicy meat, crispy skin).
My boyfriend made what he calls Triple Stacked burgers. It's the same as TGIFriday's triple stack. It was a 1/4 pound hamburger with fried ham, bacon, provolone, tomato's and catchup. It was yummy!!!Originally Posted by tierre0
After days of turkey, the time has come for something a bit different so today I am making a very spicy pot of vegetarian chili. I am going to have it with some nice crusty bread, and some vanilla ice cream with brandied peaches for dessert...
