Serious yums!

But they didn't get used last night. In my travels, acquiring the sole, and the nugget potatoes and the spinach (for garlic spinach), I had to go by the purveyor of the best Tiramisu in town, so that got substituted -- especially appropriate as it's a favourite of both The Boy and our friend who was joining us, who have both been feeling more than a little glum lately so needed a treat.

Tonight? There's sole left over, so possibly a fish chowder. If there's not enough fish, I can add a few prawns and make it into seafood chowder.

We went to Chili's tonight

I got the skillet queso for an appetizer, and the sirloin steak with rice and broccoli for dinner.

Rob got chicken tacos with black beans and rice.

Going to make pulled pork/bbq sandwiches tonight. I have the pork in the crockpot so it will be really tender. I'll freeze what we don't eat and have it for another meal in a week or two

My pulled pork last night was yummy!

Tonight I work late, so I will just thaw out some frozen spaghetti sauce and put over frozen cheese ravioli since they only take a few minutes to cook.

I am very very happy to say. I am no longer on a clear liquid diet. Tonight I had what was supposed to mushroom soup. Normally I like mushroom soup but this was disgusting. At least as of tomorrow I will have someone bring me in a home cooked meal for every meal. YUMMM. Aunty Betty will bring me breakfast everyday. I hope I get her strawberry pancakes tomorrow. Aunt Lillian will bring me lunch. A sub tomorrow. And my dad or my Aunt Sandra will be bringing me dinner every night and even dessert. Yummy!! Tomorrow I get Meatloaf, Whipped Garlic Potatoes, Gravy, Biscuit, Vegetables, Salad. And for dessert, Rice Pudding and a bag of my favourite doritos for later.

I am doing a pork roast in the crock pot, so I am thinking of doing BBQ ed pulled pork on a nice crusty kaiser, and a green salad on the side. I also have a couple of mango, pears, bananas, and persimmons that need to be used up so I thinking fruit salad. I will throw together a nice light sugar syrup flavored with cherry brandy to go with it.

My pulled pork the other day was VERY yummy

Tonight we are just having a salad, maybe with some grilled, sliced beef on top.
