Tonight we had one of my favorites - it's made with garlic sauteed in butter, then flour bite size pieces of chicken and saute with the garlic, add sliced mushrooms, add marinated (drained) artichoke hearts, finish off with a cup of cooking wine and the juice of one lemon. Serve on spinach noodles, and...yum yum!!!

Tonight we had BBQ marinated Steak, mushrooms done in butter, egg and celery salad and some super thick chips.

I might have some weetbix for dessert

Tonight is going to be pork chops. Not sure if I'm going to try one of the recipes I copied down or not, or if I'm just going to season them with ground pepper and pop them under the broiler. Creamed corn on the side.

I put chicken out this morning so I am thinking roasted chicken, baked potato, and roasted cabbage. When I have the oven on I like to use it to cook everything so I have gotten in the habit of roasting vegetables as well. For cabbage I just wrap a quarter in foil, season with salt, pepper, garlic and butter. Add a couple of tablespoons of water and it turns out fantastic...

You know, I wouldn't have thought of baking cabbage. That sounds interesting. How long do you do it for?

Our M&C last night turned out to be an express version done completely on the top of the stove, rather than baked. Quite satisfactory.

Tonight? Something with ham, probably, or sausages. Potatoes and a veg. Nothing spectacular.

Homemade French onion soup, Ham sandwiches on some pumpernickel rolls I bought today. Nothing special, still not feeling 100%.

I start work at 6pm tonight and I'm NOT going to have a burger so I'll probably grab some sandwhich ingredients from the supermarket after work at 12.30am!

The Boy has requested sole. Assuming there are some nice fillets to be had, they will be panfried, finished with lemon, tarragon and vermouth, served with either Jasmine Rice or Nugget Potatoes and whatever green veg looks nice. Probably butter tarts for dessert, unless I get a better idea before then.

Tonight I am making Salmon Burgers, with lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese and tartar sauce and a green salad on the side. Maybe a poached pear for dessert.
