My husband and daughter started calling me Yosemite Sam one say when I was giving a 24 year old proper heck for calling our then 14 year old daughter. My hubby came upstairs just as I was hanging up the phone and when I told him what I had just done, he said, "Yes, I heard you doing your Yosemite Sam act. BACK OFF, Varmit". The name has stuck since then as I do have a tendency to get rather fierce with I'm annoyed.

Nothing too original here, when I first joined up on MSN, I wanted Tigger as I had just lost my cat Tigger, but that is a very popular name, so it was either add numbers, or something else - MSN had be put in hobbies, one of which is reading, hence BookTigger

I'm so hot, I'm going nova!

Just kidding.

Nova is my cat, and going nova is what some stars do when they die.
I think "SuperNova" was taken.

Mine is just because we had Miagi at the time when I joined and then adopted Tiger a few months later.

It's the same handle everywhere, suggested by my sweetie before I cut 22 years' growth off. A whole bunch of other people got there before me, though, so some numerals were in order: the year of my birth.

I thought about using Shareena or Miss Patchwillow, my original two cats. However, I had just take in a pregnant stray I named Goldy. At the time I joined it was basically to get help taking care of a pregnant cat and then new newborn kittens, so I went with GoldyCat instead.

Mine is my mother's name. The original Ondine was a French mermaid who married a prince, making him promise to be faithful. When he broke his promise, she drowned him. Today, Ondine's Curse is the name of a medical condition where your lungs fill with fluid. The name is also spelled Undine. (On-deen)

Ariel (the little mermaid) was said to have two older sisters, Undine and Sabrina

My real name is apparently to hard for people to remember so they started calling me Mer and the 636 is from when I was in high school EVERYONE was using the 666 thing so I said 636 is better

Mine is simply an article followed by my first name ... backwards!

It wasn't my first standard online username, but it's my favorite standard username.

Hmmm... mine is boring. Addie was a college nickname, given to me by a former room-mate. Bee is for my middle initial.

Tara because it's my name, Rob because it's my husbands name. We originally joined to find out info on our cat's hyperthyroidism, and I ended up staying. He never really comes on.

My username (Knottybuoyz) and Lori's (Knottygirls) are variations on the name of our boat (Knotty Buoyz II). Our first boat was just plain Knotty Buoyz.

The name actually comes from a conversation we (Myself & my son Daniel) a number of years ago. When he was small we used to ride around town on my bike with Daniel in the seat on the back. One day we stopped to say Hello to Rev. Jack Urquart. Jack was an old family friend and former Coastie. Anyhow, long story short, Jack asked Daniel what we were doing? and Daniel replied: "Cruising for chicks". Jack, a United Church minister replied: "Aren't you a couple of naughty boys". I had to say Goodbye Jack and left just a little embarrassed.

I'm of course a "cat mom" and I have 2 American Wirehaired cats. My husband doesn't like my name, as he says I'm disregarding our former feral so I'd like to go on record to say I also have the most wonderful and cuddly former feral named Felix....along with my 2 wires!

For those whoe know me, mine is pretty simple. Amber is our first bobcat and I named myself after her, even though I am male, so it can be a little confusing to new members.

Mine is my normal username for online stuff. First came up with it back in high school, while I was reading Jennifer Roberson's Tiger and Del novels. I love Tiger's character, and his full name is Sandtiger. Needed a name for AOL, and so many were taken, that I decided to feminize the Sandtiger and voila, Sandtigress. :-) Turns out it wasn't taken, and usually isn't anywhere else either!
