I wrote Ed and he said she was sold as pet quality.
I do not be surprised if she doesnt do well.
I can show her though.
I have to send for the Tica papers first.
Once they come I can get the Cfa papers.
I think I might show her so can learn and get a show cat later on.
Either a Sphynx or a Rex.

No I got her because I wanted a sphynx.
I do plan on getting a show cat later on.
I can still show her and learn.

It can be a very good learning experience for you, as long as you don't get offended/disappointed if Cleo doesn't place well in during the shows.

We don't allow our pet quality cats to be shown, since our cattery name is represented in the showhall, so maybe Cleo is on the cusp of pet quality/show quality.

If Ed is ok with you showing her, let the judges decide, learn the show ropes, and have fun.

He said I can show her.
I sure would not want him to get a bad name from it though.
It would help me learn though.
I do plan on getting a show cat later on.
It will be a Sphynx or Rex.
I sent Ed some pictures today.

She would at least get championship and maybe some points towards a grand.

We bought Charlie as a pet, but when we picked him up, the breeder said he was more show quality and we were welcome to show him. She too would not allow pets to be shown. As you know, Charlie is a grand in ACFA and almost grand in CFA - so he's done better then expected.

With Jack, we expect him to do better since we did "order" a show cat and I can tell right now, that the spotting is a lot better then Charlie has. If put against each other as adults, Jack would beat Charlie.

Sometimes they wind up to be better then expected.

I will have to decide what to do.
I do not want to do anything that will give Ed's cattery a bad name.

He must be okay with it or he would have said no you can't show her.

I think you will really enjoy showing her. You will probably get to know other Sphynx breeders along the way.

He did say I can show her.
One of the breeders is the one taht ignored me after the kittens were born.
I sure would hate to run into her.

I have always wondered if they judge the markings on the cats. I do know they judge how they conform to the breed standard. I am thinking of showing my two sphynx girls in June, but that has yet to be decided as I need to do more research on the way they judge...I think it would be fun to do and meet other breeders. I also think it would be really scary the first time when you don't know exactly what to expect.

If Ed says it's OK go for it!
It will be a good learning experience.

My first show cat was 'Grafton Satan's Slave' a really long nosed White Exotic neuter and he never made it past Premier

Then go for it. Lots of people in the neuter/spay section here in New Zealand start off with cats that aren't perfect then from the judges comments you just pick up, what's good and what's not.

Ironically they're about much work as Persian/Exotic!

Does Cleo enjoy her baths?

Oh and my first show cat was at 2 years old! I wasn't allowed one until then
