I do not know why my brother said that.
It takes longer to brush Coco then it does to take care of Cleo.
Do you think I should get a little tub to bathe her in?

Firstly I don't groom my cats for 15-30 minutes every week if you keep on top of it that much grooming isn't required

You may run into the Sphynx breeder that snubbed you, but Cleo would only be up against her cats in kitten class. At 8 months Cleo would move on to Alter class and it's highly unlikely that the breeder will be showing her cats in anything but Championship class.

Hmmm, interesting. We spend at least 30 mins or more per week grooming our Maine Coon and they are much easier to maintain than a Persian or Exotic according to the breeders I've chatted with.

What's your secret?

Her kittens are a lttle older then Cleo.
I doubt she would show in the alter class also.
When I went to the cat shows there were only 2 sphynx catterys there.
One was the breeder that quit talking to me and the other was a breeder she uses for her sires.
I have heard they are ver good friends.
Sketch I sent your post to Ed.

Showing can be a lot of fun for sure. Do you belong to any cat clubs? Another good way to learn and also meet other breeders is to join a cat club in your area and get involved in helping when they host a show. This is how I first got involved with my Persians. I later decided I didn't want to show or breed but I learned a lot and made a lot of friends. Good Luck.

I need to bathe Cleo without getting scratched.
She hates the sink.
My Russian Blue mix gets right in the sink.
Any ideas to get Cleo to like bathes.
I do not think she gave Ed any problems.

I've heard that the running water scares them, and that it's sometimes best to have the water all ready instead of running it while they are in there. Also I've heard that some don't like to be standing in the water, so just pour it over and let it run down the sink.

That said, I don't bathe my cats, only once when I had a sick cat, and that was about 30 years ago, LOL.

I just gave her a bath.
I filled the sink first then put her in it.
It worked well.
The water sure was dirty.
I had to put clean water in the sink.
I used baby shampoo.

First bath Charlie got (4 months old) was in the sink in the kitchen. You could have heard him in Canada! He hated it.

After that we wash him in the tub and he loves his baths - crys more when its over!

Some cats sure do scream.
Cleo did not say a word.
She did grab me with her front paws.
We used the bathroom sink.
I might use the kitchen sink because it has the thing you spray.
Sasha gets right in.

I do not think it would work in my shower because we just have shower curtains.
She is nice and clean now.

I can't wait to get my 2 sphynx in a couple weeks...bathing them is one of the things I'm so excited about. I don't think I can stand much more waiting, but alas, I must.

I am so glad you got Cleo bathed, I bet she smells like a newborn baby...I love that smell.

How has the ear cleaning been going?
