After work it`s just going to be the kits and me
As soon as I get in from work, I`m going to make a drink, put on my Jammies, find a really naff Christmas film on tv and open my presents
I have to say, I`m really looking forward to it after weeks of running about.

Anyone else going to be alone?

See, now I'd LOVE to be alone on Christmas.
Then you can enjoy the peace & quiet....reflect upon the things you have. Sounds corny - but I'd love to be alone to enjoy the company of the fur kids - since I lost Damita makes me realize every day is precious.

Thank you! I really don`t mind too much. It beats spending an akward day with relatives you don`t get on with

Not this year. But I have spent many Christmas' alone. Some years it's ok, others it's a bit depressing.

Though this year I think I'd rather be alone!
I'm not used to being around people...lots and lots of people every day, and since I've been back to work between working and running errands on my days off, I am rarely home for a whole day by myself without any people around! In fact, last Friday was the first day I have been one for a whole day and didn't see anyone. And I enjoyed it a great deal!

I did get a phone call today and was asked if I could work this evening. As much as I need the money, I decided I needed an evening to myself more. So I'm going to rent a movie on Video on Demand, pop some popcorn and have a Diet Coke and lounge on the couch.

Whatever you and everyone else has planned, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. If you are going out, please don't drink and drive!

I am not alone, but it will just be Matt and I - we are not going on a 3 hour tour to see family like in previous years. We have baby Rosie, my foster kitten at home so we are spending the day with the kitties and her.

I am spending both Christmas Eve and Christmas alone. Tonight I will really be alone, not even with the Furbabies as I have to work all night. I've gotten rather used to it, so it doesn't bother me that much. I find when you have "Great Expectations" for Holidays it's harder. If you just look at Holidays as "just another day" that it's easier to deal with.

It's just DH and I tonight and tomorrow, with our furboys, of course. Our weather has been so bad that we have all decided to do Christmas at a later date. We usually spend Christmas Eve at my Mom's but the roads are so bad that we don't want my daughter driving down from Portland. We spend Christmas Day with DH's family, but they haven't had power for 4 days and SIL is not in any way prepared for Christmas dinner, she's been pretty stressed out. So I'm less stressed out since we don't have to do running around for two days, I got DH a ham for his Christmas dinner and that should make it a bit more Christmasy for him.

I wish I was spending it alone. But OH NO! My mom just has to try and cook and get my brother over here. It will be an akward dinner where no one talks. Then everyone retreats to their own area.

I HATE CHRISTMAS! I can't wait for new years..Then this crap will finally be over.

Man to be at home, eat whatever you want, drink whatever and watch movies..That sounds like a dream to me! lol

Hope, I am there with you. I am at work right now, get out at 7am. When I get home, around 7:45, I will got to bed after I feed and play with the bobcats for a bit, especially the baby girl. I will get up at 3pm or so, spend the evening at home with my wife, then go back to work at 11 pm.

John, are you a police man????

I didn't spend more than five minutes of it alone but I spend a lot of time during the week alone so a busy day suited me perfectly!

I have spent many a christmas alone with the cats. I have several heathcare workers in the family and we work alot of holidays. We see each other when ever we can. I actually volenteer to work christmas for time and a half. My coworkers who have children and a family love that.

Much the same as you, I get a bottle of wine, a special treat of shrimp for dinner and have a kitty party.

Just Dh, the 9 cats, & I. (Y'all already know the story about my family, so I won't moan about it again here.). Actually, for the 1st time in 3 years since the family incident, I'm not too sad. We opened gifts, and loved watching the cats play with theirs--we had such a good laugh!

DH is in his den, hand-sewing Rev War clothing for an event this Sat. Later, we plan to move downstairs, near the fireplace, and work on our stuff together (we are Rev War reenactors, who reenact the year 1776 with our unit). We call this our "sewing circle". Sounds boring, but we love it. We swap reenacting ideas, do research together, and chat, while hand-sewing our clothing. I'm taking a break now from a bit of light cleaning (cat fur on the rugs again!). The house looks so nice now, apart from that, so that's my Xmas gift to myself--a nice, clean, festive house. I'm on vacation from last Saturday-Jan. 4th, so this is nice--it frees me up to go out during the week, get together with friends, and enjoy my time off.

Later, I'll make roast beef for dinner. Dinner will have an 18th C. theme: corn fritters, roast beef, sweet potatoes, etc.

The kitties have had their treats and toys, are are now snoring!
