That is Bast! She is a pretty girl! She has an interesting story. There was a man who sold meat who came to my neighborhood. He told me his wife was an Ocicat breeder and he had a shy little kitten that didn't get her spots that needed a home. They did have Ocicats but they weren't what I would call breeders. It was another one of my gut feelings this little girl needed a good home. I bought her for 50 dollars and gave her a good home, that was almost 10 years ago. She is a very loving cat and is very loyal to her mom!
Mort was a victim of domestic violence when I rescued her. She was set free to wander the streets after her owners husband tried to kill her. The woman was put in the hospital and the husband was in jail. Mort came to me while I was sitting outside and jumped in my lap and fell asleep. I loved that little baby and told her I would take care of her the rest of her life. She lived until she was almost 18 years old. I think that the man that beat his wife did something to Mort when she was a baby. Her whiskers temporarly fell out and then grew back curly. They eventually straightened out. But she did have a facial twitch from time to time. The vet had thought she recieved some kind of trauma to her head.
Stanley and his brother Ollie were rescued from people who were going to dump them in the King Soopers Parking lot. They are almost 14 years old now.
