I see she has dropped her married name to better cash in on the Kennedy name, no big deal there, but is she qualified to be a Senator?

She is giving no interviews, staying very quiet, who does that remind you of????

Oh, I remember when the drive by media were like sharks in the water after Sarah Palin but Caroline Kennedy gets a free pass. LOL And Palin has years more experience than CKS. Ahh, the double standards. The hypocrisy.

Maybe the masses don't care but the media does care and they give her a free pass because of who and what she is.

actually, i think she looks more like her father. Jackie was much prettier - Caroline's more what i would call striking.

The media doesn't care either. They are going to run any story into the ground that keeps people watching while they bombard them with all the advertising that pays their salaries.

Everytime I see one of her supporters on a news talk show talking about her qualifications they always begin and reinforce several times her fundraising ability. That is really sad. One thing for sure, what little I have seen of it, she has little to no public speaking ability. I don't live in New York so I don't have a dog in that fight but I don't see anything in her past or in her present abilities that qualifies her. She is a Kennedy and can raise a lot of money so I guess that is more important.

Apparently she's declined to release her financial information. She would have to do it if she were elected or running for election. Her campaign says she will if she is appointed. Yeah, right.

Reading up a bit on her, this isn't unusual. She's declined salary once before, rather than release her financial records.

True, and it also validates my point How many people knew Obama was a senator before he decided to run for President? I still had to google him after he announced he would seek the nomination

It's the senate. Everyone thinks "their" senator should be the one that stays when they "throw the bums out", and hardly anyone can name 10 senators from other areas, i.e., no one cares. It's just another "ratings buzz" story.

IMHO just because her last name is "Kennedy" and her father was President, doesn't mean she should automatically be appointed to a high state position such as Senator. She should have to run for the position just like everyone else.

If I were her, I wouldn't even want it. To much bad karma connected with that name in politics. Why would she want to torture herself by having everyone and their brother digging into her life. I couldn't handle it myself.

Oh good grief, I was just reading about Caroline Kennedy. Now I see why they don't let her talk.

She said the following, "if I am not selected now for the Senate position in New York, I won't be running in 2010."

Oh Heavens no, she cannot be expected to actually run and win an election, she is a Kennedy, she is entitled.


Talk about an elitist, talk about a sense of entitlement. The woman doesn't have one ounce of experience, zip, nada, nothing and expects Hillary's vacated Senate seat to be handed to her on a silver platter because she is a Kennedy. How disgustingly pathetic is that.

Whoooa! Absolutely NOT! Take a second look! Caroline, for ALL her many millions, she needs a ton of 'work' to be done, IMO. She doesn't wear a stitch of makeup, her nose is really bad [looks like uncle Bobby's], she obviously has NO personal hairstylist, she obviously has NO dresser!, teeth PLAINLY need whitening. She is as plain a Jane as anyone can get!

Conversely.........I have to give her a certain amount of credit [on another other level] for NOT caring about her looks.] To my mind it takes a LOT of courage for a woman of her stature, to NOT care how she looks on the television screen! Yep, that gives her points in MY book [re. charactar]!

She finally did an interview, I think she would've been better off not doing one. Who knew that a middle aged Kennedy could do valley speak so well. I don't doubt that Ted Kennedy would like to see her in the Senate. With the type of cancer he has I doubt he has too much longer. When he goes there won't be a Kennedy in the Senate and it has been a very long time since the Senate has been without a Kennedy.

I hope he does give it to Bill Clinton, I really do, I would MUCH rather see him get it than Caroline.

Didn't I hear that Biden is giving his vacated Senate seat to his son when he gets home from Iraq?

I know Biden is not some peoples favorite person, but lets be fair. How can Biden give his seat to anyone? When Beau Biden returns from fulfilling his obligation in Iraq he may run for Delaware senator. He did not make any decision public besides declaring he would not take an appointment to his fathers seat and would be joining 261st Signal Brigade which has already been deployed. He will be back in late 2009 and if he decides to run in 2010, he has not made that decision public yet, he will campaign like any other person. Although being a Biden probably won't hurt him in Delaware and his father would probably endorse him. He won't be given anything.

Well, she pulled her name from the running.

1. Tax problems
2. Something with the Nanny
3. Unsubstantiated rumor that will grow overnight I'm sure.

I feel sorry for the Governor of New York, I bet he feels like he has been through the wringer.

I told you those Kennedy's think they are above us all and that the feel "entitled"
