First of all I would like to say Hi to the whole board. Until recently I was not a fan of cats until I found a 3 week old kitten taped up in a box sitting on top of a dumpster behind my favorite watering hole. I opened up the box, she mewed
, and my heart melted and that was the beginning of the end for me.......
This is probably a really stupid newbie question but here it goes....
Here is my "issue". Since I found marge at such a young age I had to act like a mother cat would (bottle feeding, 'licking' her rear with a mosit warm towel to help her out.....). I bottle fed her for about 3 weeks after finding her and then began to slowly ween her over the next 2 1/2 weeks. She is now doing great health wise ( i got all her shots and had her checked out) and growing like a weed. The only problem is that she 'nurses' on anything soft and fuzzy. I shaved my beard off because I woke up one night and she was purring away nursing on my chin.... It is not really that annoying but is there something wrong? Is it my fault? This is my first pet EVER. I have never even owned a house plant up till now. I just want to make sure she is ok. I like this cat and would like her to be around for as long as possible. Thanks all.
