Hello again everyone.

My kitten is about 4 months old now.

It's an indoor cat, so I'm wondering why I need to spend $100 per visit
to get these different shots? What could my kitten possibly get inside
my house.

Also, my cat eats everything in site it seems. She catches & eats flies.
She scratches my chair & eats the felt that comes out.
Should I be concerned about this?

Should I be brushing her once in a while. Its very cold here, and the heat
is on constantly, This is causing her to have some static cling & every
piece of material from anything is sticking to her. Is there something
I can use to get all this off of her.

I also haven't really named her yet. Do cats know there own names?

Thanks for any replies

No matter how thoroughly we clean our homes, there are still bacteria and such around the home. As well, consider the shots value if your kitty should happen to escape. There's also "legal" aspects, concerning rabies. Some places you need to have proof of the rabies shot to register or license your cat (if your community does that), as well it would save alot if the kitty happens to bite someone.... without the rabies vac, the person could have to undergo rabies shots which are quite painful I've heard.

I too am in the same position...strictly indoor kitty. There's a good thread on here from a poster asking the same question, people with way more experience than me have posted:

my dog does the same thing with the flies. She's had all her shots, so I'm not worried about the bacteria the flies carry...she's never had a prob from it. (She eats other bugs too).

I don't know about the felt, I would worry if she eats alot that it may cause an intestinal blockage.

My previous cat did. He would come when his name was called

All of our cats have known their names and come when called (Nora only when she feels like it, though, but that is her nature).
