Boy, have we been SICK since Monday! DH was 1st--went through 5 pairs of underpants; took Tuesday off (he NEVER takes sick days). He was so sick, I took the day off, in case he had to go to the ER. I went to work on Wed., then I got it--the vomiting part. I spent over 24 hours straight in bed. I haven't been able to eat since then.

OMG! I had that on December 6th!!

I worked a double shift on the 5th and was supposed to go into work at 7:30am the next day. Around 10pm my stomach started to toss and turn and I was a bit crampy. I went home at 11:30pm and went to bed. I woke up around 3am with a need to go to the bathroom. I didn't feel nauseated or even crampy, but I just felt "ill". By the time I got to the bathroom I had to dash to the sink where I proceeded to violently throw up!

I sat down on the toilet and grabbed the mop pail and kept throwing up. I didn't have diarrhea at that point, just vomiting.

I went back to bed and woke up about 90 minutes later and ran to the bathroom and threw up in the mop pail again several times. I called into work sick. Great impression! I had just gotten back on the payroll 3 days prior!

I threw up pretty much every 45 to 60 minutes for the next 18 hours. I couldn't even keep down water. At the 12 hour mark I started to get diarrhea. I'm talking just pure liquid runs!

I was so dehydrated and light headed that I could hardly stand up. I don't have a thermometer here, but I know I had a fever because I was waking up in a cold sweat. I almost went to the ER, but to be honest I was too weak to even get to the telephone. I tried getting out of bed and I managed to make it to the living room before I felt like I was going to pass out and had to make a dash for the couch where I fell on it and proceeded to pass right out. I woke up about 7 hours later drenched in sweat. By that time I wasn't feeling as bad as I had been earlier and did manage to keep down a little water.

My stomach was upset and I was nauseated for 3 days afterwards. Anytime I tried to eat my stomach tossed and turned so I nursed ginger ale or chicken broth.

For 5 days my rib muscles were so sore from throwing up that I could hardly breath.

A few of the girls I work with have been off with it over the last couple weeks too. It's a nasty bug!

I hope you both feel better soon!!!

Linda, that sound just like what we had. I didn't get the actual runs part until today--but I did have liquid BM's--just green, then brown liquid. I tried to go to work this morning, but got so light-headed while driving, I nearly hit the car in front of me (I pulled over, & called a co-worker to take me home.). THEN the real runs started when I got home!
I laid down, "just for 15 minutes", at 1:30 PM. I woke up at 4:55 PM...

I have manged to eat a bit of Stouffer's fettucine, with some peas thrown in, and have kept it down. I must be getting better, as I would KILL for a fresh tomato right now! I'm tired of bits of bread, with peanut butter. I even managed to clean house a bit.

My MIL had it too. We must have given it to them last Sunday, as they were down to visit for our Christmas lunch (also, this is when Willie, our cat, had to be rushed to the emergency animal hospital--with the opposite problem--he couldn't go; he's doing fine now, BTW). Everything seems to have revolved around rear ends in this house since Sunday!!!

DH seems much better, though I think his decision to eat at Taco Bell tonight may prove otherwise...thanks for the good wishes, and I'm glad you're feeling better!
