Here is the scoop. A previous friend of mine had a bengal cat that he no longer wanted. He was not happy with the cat attacking his babies toes and the other cat. He knew I was a cat lover and offered the cat to me. I decided to take the cat.
The usual introduction took place. The cat hid, the other cats sniffed him and got used to him. Slowly he came out of his shell. As time went on, he became much more docile and friendlier.
You can not readily pick him up. If you do, he does not like it and he makes this chirping sound when you start to pick him up. My max time holding him is about 30 seconds. After that, it's over. He likes to be touched and petted on his terms and time. Not yours. This is much better than it was before when he would not let you near him at all.
My problem now is he has attacked one of my females to the point where she will no longer come downstairs because she is afraid. The farthest she will go is the bottom of the steps. No further. He also attacks her upstairs sometimes as well. I will pick her up and bring her down and she will stay for a while, but if she goes under the bed, he will be there, stalking her and waiting. If she comes out, off he goes to attack. At first it was cornering her and she would growl and he would just sit there. Then it has escalated into this.
The other females he leaves alone. Mainly because I think they don't take his crap. However, he is also starting on them. Random acts of attacks and chasing. They don't like it.
I have 6 cats. 3 males, 3 females. There are 3 other cats in the house as well. Two other females and one more female that is mainly out door. All others are indoor only.
The Bengal cleans and takes care of the newly adopted brothers. He plays with them as well. He is kinda their "dad".
However, this issue with the female and him, has got to change. I don't want any of my cats afraid of another. The house is 4,000 square feet. Plenty of room. We also have 6 litter boxes as well. No problems there. Cleaned daily. I also have 4 dogs.
All animals get along except for this hell spawn. I love the little guy but I don't know what to do. I tried spraying with water, stern voice and even time out in a kennel. He literally throws a tantrum in the kennel. Rolling around every which way, crying and moaning. It's funny, but not really.
Please help! He is over a year and a half old. Will be 2 years in February/March from what I am told and is neutered.
