Drama, the only genre that consistantly wins the Oscars.

I love horror but not the zombie or vampire ones, they aren`t scary!

I will never be able to watch Omen again That is just too scary and all the stuff that happened connected to the making of the film, makes my skin crawl!

I like "action dramas" and some comedy. I'm terrible at remembering names of movies.

Of the names that I can remember, I liked the following:

Fargo
Pirates of the Caribbean (all of them)
Eastern Promises
The Godfather Movies
Mobsters
History of Violence
all of the Jason Bourne movies
Chicago
Brokeback Mountain
Gangs of New York
Silence of the Lambs
Hotel Rwanda
Psycho
Star Trek movies

I'm not into sappy "girly" movies and I don't like animated movies (IE: Shrek etc) with actors doing voice overs; I prefer real people in movies that I watch, not just their voices. I also don't like most horror movies or movies that are so overwhelmed with special effects that the actors and storyline are considered secondary events.

Comedy and Romance

Since I like to watch a large variety of stuff, my favorites being horror, sci-fi, historical fiction & drama among other things I'll go on to say that I hate chick flicks, especially wedding comedies.

Horror and chick flicks. I love blood and gore, but then again I also like a good romantic comedy/chick flick.

"Chick" flicks
Comedies
Adventurous and animal movies of course are my favorite.

Actually, I'd rather read a book!

I have no real favorite genre. I'll see a movie if it looks or sounds interesting. I probably only go to one or two movies a year. I like movies that make you think. I LOVED "The Prestige." "Little Big Man" was one of my favorites. I'd really like to see some of Lee Childs' books made into movies. Except I can't figure out who would be good to play Jack Reacher.

I absolutely detest stuff like "Dumb & Dumber" and "Napoleon Dynamite" , that type of humor leaves me cold. I walked out on a date that took me to see "Dumb & Dumber."
