I had a cat a couple years ago that had ringworms. I'm guessing the spores die off quickly around the house and that I wouldn't have to worry about it still being around. We never caught the ringworms or anything. I'm considering getting a couple cats that already have their shots, this time.

I was told about 2 yrs. I would not use the vaccine, it is only good against one variety and not always successful at that. IMHO it is an uneccasary vaccination. Also it produced by Fort Dodge and they are notorious for vaccine problems.

So if I decide to get another cat or two I'll have to worry about ringworms getting onto them from around the house?

Ringworm is a fungus ... a resistant one for most to deal with... NOT a real worm so no worry's about it walking in that way
