Is it normal for her to be chasing her tail constantly? I would say 50% of the time she is awake, she is chasing her tail, she just loves to grab it and bite it and chase it around in circles.

Also, she has been biting my fingers recently, I pull back and yell "NO!" at her but that does not even phase her she just keeps doing it, any tips?

it is normal for kittens to chase their tails... all the kittens I've ever had have always chased their tails... it's like having their own string attached to their bums
one that moves when they move, and sometimes even when they don't lol

as for the bitting, push her away when you say no (not so hard that she goes flying, but a good little shove), and say it kind of growly, then ignore her... it'll take a little bit till she gets the point, but she will... remember that consistancy is the key, and if there is anyone else in your home, they have to do the same thing also

hope that helps

Tail chasing is normal to an extent. If she seems to be stimulated by this, it would be good to encourage interactive play using toys that she can chase and hunt. This also helps satisfy this instinctual behavior she is developing. If she is biting and attacking fingers, feet, she is play hunting. This is what they do with their siblings and mom kitty. Now you need to provide the same type of stimulation to satisfy these developing instincts, as well as establishing physical respect and pain thresh holds.

Haha yea tail chasing is pretty normal. My kitten chases his tail even when he is walking and his tail is in the air- when he turns he will notice it and jump up trying to reach it in the air it's hillarious

But doing it 50% of the time seems a lot, how old is your kitty?

My baby kitty, Levi is 4 mo. old and he LOVES his tail, it is better than ANYTHING, well, except the shower, he LOVES people in the shower??
50% of the time, like the others said, that is a bit on the "tail addiction" side!!
I wonder if he needs rehab???

Love to hear another baby chases his tail!!
