He did something to his front paw yesterday morning. There are no puncture wounds and he does walk on it with a limp. He can move the toes because he was kneading my belly tonight with both paws. I know he hurts, we have a vet appointment in 2 weeks. Could it be broken? would he be able to walk or move toes if it were?
he holds it up when he sits.

It could be a soft tissue injury - can you get a vet appt sooner so you can be sure it's nothing serious?

the place I go is ridiculous. they have many vets, but the one I want to see is so good, and apparently has a lot of vacation to take, that this is as soon as I can see her. I thought that might be good anyway because what do they do for an injury. I tried to hold a cold pack on it, and he won't sit still for that. Would they splint it? All he would do then is try to shake it off, maybe causing more harm.
