I was wondering if it would be safe to give Mufasa a frozen/thawed mouse as a treat every once in a while? I know that he loves to eat them, and that it can help keep his teeth clean. And I wouldn't think that he could catch worms or parasites from one that has been frozen. I was just wondering if it was safe to do so??

I'm not sure a lot of people on this site are going to understand the whole idea of frozen/thawed rodents. (Please forgive me if I'm wrong...)

With reptiles I know they say the freezing process kills the worms and other nasties in them that can hurt your snake/lizard.

I don't know anything regarding the safety of giving your cat a dead mouse, but if he's going to eat mice I guess it would be the safest way?

Well, I'm assuming that when he was a stray that he used to eat them(and he quite enjoyed 'helping he rid the house of mice' by catching my pet mice one day. I just figured that it could help clean his teeth and give him something to do as well as the benefits of having something raw. I just didn't know if it would be safe to do so, I would figure yes, since they eat them in the wild, but thought i would ask.
