I payed around 250$ for him when he was a kitten. I was told the breed once which I believed to be Bengal mix. But he does not look like the other Bengal's I have seen. Here he is, his name is Artimis and he is a big kitty. Can someone please help me figure out his breed.

I know, that's why I'm asking for help in Identifying a possible breed. He was really white when he was a kitten. When I think about it, some of his siblings were more spotted.

He's a domestic shorthair, no specific breed.

His colouring is lovely

Thank you, He is very large and muscular and regularly scares dogs away from "HIS" yard. He has a very strange personality, he is kind of stand offish but loves to climb up on my chest and purr every once in a while. Which is opposite of how he was as a kitten. When he was a kitten I couldn't lay down without him falling asleep on my chest. He is not neutered, and at two years old he has never sprayed inside the house. He has two ferret friends who he plays with all the time. He is the best cat I have ever owned.

Here are a couple of him as a kitten

Hello & welcome to tcs. By his chubby cheeks he could be part British shorthair.

Spotting isn't the only Bengal indicator and none of his features say Bengal to me. His face is too round among other things. That said, he is a beautiful cat and I love his coloring!

Welcome to TCS!

Hmmm.... he doesn't present with any Bengal physical traits. And without papers, it doesn't really matter. To me he looks like a flame color-point domestic short hair cat.... and gorgeous! Colorpoints are usu. born white or off-white... and the points color-up as they develop.

Blue cross-eyes? Probably some Siamese in his background somewhere.

Not surprised about the ferrets ... which can be very cat-like in their behavior!

He reminds me of a bluepoint colorpoint we had come through the shelter recently - he had the "Siamese" coloring, but a cobby body like an American shorthair and a big round head - like your boy. He didn't even last a week before somebody snapped him up and took him home!
