Hi, I'm new to this site. My boyfriend and I rescued our kitten Smokey about 3 months ago. Smokey's mom got hit by a car and smokey was hiding behind my grandmother's building, she was only 2 and a half weeks old. We immediately took her to the vet and found out Smokey had an uri. We treated her for that and gave her the love she needed. Needless to say she became spoiled and rotten. Well over the past couple days I noticed her eyes have been watering, not so much green or yellow stuff but like tears. Then today I woke up and her right eyes was fine but her left eye had yellowish white stuff coming out of it and was a little pink and she was squinting a little bit. Now I know that they isn't no substitution for the vet, I'm taking her to her vet in the morning(closed today), but before I go I wanted to know a little about what might be wrong with her before I take her in so I might be a little informed.

Went to the vet and turns out its another uri and an eye infection. I got her medicine and ointment. Oh by the way thanks for being so friendly guys, really makes people feel welcomed.

You may want to ask the vet about doing a Feline Herpes test--search this forum as well as online.

I would think that a cat who has already gotten a second URI--with such heavy eye symptoms is a Feline Herpes cat and would be a good candidate for L-Lysine
