Adopt Ellie, that is. I was soooo worried about George. He has always been an only. I didn't know how he would react to another kitty in the house.

Oh my goodness, he LOVES her!!
They chase each other around the house, he walks around calling and looking for her. This morning I saw him give her the head-bob and "brrrpt" sound (I thought that was only for me!). And then he followed her into the kitched for a snack.

George is 6.5 yrs old and Ellie is 1.5 yrs old. I've had her for a little over a month now. The first week I cried cuz I thought I had ruined George's life!! Lots of hissing and ignoring of me going on. But it didn't take long at all for the two of them to start playing!!

And since Geoge gets tons more exercise than he had been getting - even tho I played with him as much as I could, he is so pooped out at night he doesn't come and wake me up looking for attention.
Had I known this was going to happen, I would have adopted much sooner - just think of all the sleep I've lost!!

Cats really aren't the solitary souls we think. That is great news about George and Ellie.

I am glad they get along.
I showed cleo to my cats today and Coco as as always licked her.
she grabbed coco and tried to play with her.
Sasha and Oreo went nose to nose with and no hissing or growling.
Meeko is not allowed near her yet.
She has active herpes.

I was afraid that might be the case with George!! It cracks me up with how he reacts to Ellie. I am so happy that they are having a good time together - at least George is having a good time. Sometimes I think Ellie wants to hide from the big orange fuzz ball

I think some cats really are solitary souls, just that your George is obviously not one of them. Its SO sweet how he calls for Ellie and trills and heatbutts her. I wish I could watch him do that ... Would you happen to have a video somewhere?

I'll have to try and capture that!! Better get the camera ready - never know when George will "strike"
