at what age can a kitten start eating dry food?

Jake is 7 weeks old and I've been feeding him canned kitten food. I was wondering if I can switch now to purina kitten chow?

Im pretty sure you can start giving dry too, but you mite wanna start him on that after moistening it with water or KMR. When i weaned Monster i started with dry food mushed up with KMR. After a while, i stopped the KMR n started moistening with water, eventually lessening the amount of water put in until he was used to the crunchiness on his lil teeth.
