Let me know if he likes it. They changed the formula about 2 years ago and my Muddy, who loved it for a year, refused to touch it. If yours like it, chances are they changed the flavor back to the original.

Do you belong to the Yahoo Feline Herpes group? If not, you need to join and check out the stuff on eyes and what's worked for others who have herpes kitties with eye problems.

When we first got Hannah and she was deathly ill, we gave her Enisyl, but that got to be expensive, so we switched to plain ol' Lysine. I get the powdered stuff from the health food store and mix it in with her wet food. My vet recently told me to give Hannah 1000 mg/day, which is about 1/4 t twice a day. Lysine seems to be most effective when given in 8-12 hour doses, so twice a day is what I do. Also, when using Lysine, it can take up to a month to see results.

Thank You,
I am going to join it.
Meekos eyes were dripping last night and today.
She is in a bad mood.
I gave her the stuff a few hours ago.

Hi everyone - this is my first time on this site!  I have used Enisyl, the paste, in my cat's food and she didn't mind it at all.  She had a bit of a cold last week, and I think the Enisyl cleared it up.  However, she became quite constipated afterwards.  She has a history of constipation, and every day I sprinkle Miralax in her food, which usually works beautifully.   But this time, I gave her a lot of Miralax and a Dulcolax and it didn't work!  Poor baby had to have an enema, which is very hard on her.   Now she seems to have a cold again,  and I'm afraid to give her Enisyl, thinking it might block her again.  Can't see the vet until Friday.

Has anyone had a problem with Enisyl causing constipation??

Thanks!!
