I went through the same thing, with Buddy, a few weeks ago. He came from the Humane Society, all matted up.

They said at the shelter that he's a chocolate point, but IMHO he's a seal point. His face and points are very dark brown, his body goes from fawn to brown.

Took a nap and he slept on my head. BF says it looked like Davy Crockett was in the bed LOL!

Wow, after a good grooming, he looks great! Will take more pics tomorrow. All the matting came out with the rake, I didn't need the mat breaker comb. He is such a handsome guy!

He slept with us all night last night! Most of the time he was up in between us, but a few times he wandered down to check on our toes and make sure they were alright

I am also banned by my husband from going to the SPCA, because each time I went I came home wiht another kitty..He likes cats, but we live in a 4 1/2 condo and have 3 cats, when he only wanted one!!...

The last kitty happened the same as you, I went to donate food, no intention of getting another one, and she was calling out to me, meowing form the cage.. so I took her out she was purring and playing, glued to my shoulder,and I couldn't leave her there. My husband had a big shock when he came home that day...

he said " just donate food, ya right, no more!!!"

He is gorgeous! I want another kitty!

Poor Bear has found a darn good hidey place. I haven't seen him since about 1 AM, when he discovered the attic. (We are now calling it the CATtic, since it is their speedway/playground). I've looked for him and called, but he hasn't showed up. I'm not really concerned, since he ate a good amount last night and used the boxes. He must need some alone time.

We've got some names we're thinking about:

Sultan
Rajah
Chewbacca/Chewie (He looks like a wookie LOL)
Rakshasa/Raki (pronounced Rocky) (Indian tiger spirit)

How about just "Wookie"? He looks like a "Wookie" to me...

After giving a lot of consideration and trying out some names, it's official.

His new name is Sasha.
