Wow...a fantasy cat tree!

I've been browsing for cat trees, trying to find the perfect one for my crew, and stumbled across this site: http://www.ahiddenhollow.com/Home.html
They're out of my price range at this time, but I'm stunned at the creativity involved in coming up with these! Amazing. The cats in the pictures look like they're really enjoying their surroundings.

I would love to get my hands on one of these and figure out what materials they use. They really don't look all that hard to make!

And if they use the materials that I suspect they are using, the price is not that unreasonable.

I left the link up on top and DH came by the computer and opened it up. His first response: WOW those are cool! I bet you we could make them. Can you figure out the materials they are made from? (this is why our marriage has lasted nearly 20 years)

He does the woodwork and I do the fabric. We've got it half figured out already. The 2 outstanding questions - what did they use for the trunk of the tree, and what exactly is the "wool like" material on the trunk and branches? It's gotten be strong enough to hold up to claws.

I'm saving this link. I'll post a pic if we ever make it.
