My poor cat is so sick, I have taken him to the vet and he is on antibiotics and an antihistamine. All of the mucus in his head is so loose it sounds like he is drowning in it sometimes. I was wondering if it was safe to a nasal aspirator like you use on infants to suck some the snot out of his nose. He has been like this for 4 days now and just seems so misserable. I hate to see him this way.

You should ask your Vet before trying something like that. Saline nose drops may also help, but again ask your vet. My cats get stuffy at times and I will hold them on my lap with a fairly warm wash rag across the nose/eye area for a few minutes at a time. They actually seem to like it, I think it feels good to them just like it does to me.
