Question of the Day - December 9th

Thread Starter
Which do you prefer to eat, something sweet or something salty?

I will take salty over sweet any day!
It really depends on what type of mood I am in. Sometimes I prefer salty, sometimes sweet. Most of the time it is sweet - especially chocolate

Ditto.
I eat salt on just about everything. DH gives me grief about it cause I salt food without even tasting it first.

Once in a while I get a craving for something salty but I generally want something sweet

Isn't chocolate a condiment anyways? Like, chocolate is the new ketchup?

LOL!!! I am going to have to tell that to my hubby

I'm with everyone who says it depends on my mood. Today, though, I'd have to go with sweet.

Yep! Especially tasty as a dip!

I like them both, I cannot choose
I would have to say both as well.

I have been know to have S&V Chips with a couple of chocolates on the side more then a few times.

I look at it as cleansing the palette

Salty!!!! Had to stop at store yesterday to get some chips.
In fact already today I had some potato chips and dip followed by a chocolate fix!!

Almost always sweet! Chocolate, jellybeans, cake, cookies, whatever... you name it, I have a hard time saying no to it! (But I do sometimes say no, I swear!)
i'm a chocoholic...
so...
sweet
I like both..sometimes I crave salted crisps instead of the chocolate. Some days I have the crisps first, followed by choccie...so then I have both
post #17 of 28
Completely a matter of mood. I love them both.

Usually depends on my mood. I probably prefer sweet more often ... I love me some chocolate!

I tend to lean more towards salty, although, I do like sweet and sometimes I like to eat something sweet then something salty.

I'm always craving something salty.

Sweet. I actually do not like salty foods, which is a real pain because I'm supposed to eat a lot of salt.

A tip for you, then. Eat lots of celery. It has a fairly high sodium content, even though it does not taste salty. I found that out years ago when my grandmother had to cut out salt, and was dismayed to discover that that meant she could not have celery, which she loved.
^Actually it's not that high compared to a lot of processed foods. I believe half a cup raw is around 50mgs? I should be eating around 5-6grams a day ... I can't do it though and am lucky if I manage 4grams.
Celery is fairly high in potassium, though. I have problems buying it because DH simply cannot tolerate the stuff. He usually gets to push the cart when we shop together and will whine the whole time about the smell of it in the cart.

It all depends on my mood. Some days I can eat a box of Russell Stover chocolates in 1 sitting and other day its a big bag of Cheese Doodles .

I like salty food better and crave them.
