I've got a question!

In the original AC if you planted bells in the glowy spot on the ground it would grow a money tree. I thought I remembered reading that you could plant money anywhere with a golden shovel and it would grow a money tree. I planted 3k bells several days ago and now have a full grown tree, but no money bags on it! Did I do something wrong, or do we not get money trees in the Wii version?

Lori, there is a way to create a money tree. I'll try to explain it.
For every 1000 bells you bury that increases your odds of a money tree by 1%. The most a money tree will give you is 3x's the amount you put in and the max a money tree will pay out is 90,000.

This is how I understand it but I could be wrong.
Oh and yes you do need to use a gold shovel.

Pelly in the post office says sometimes things dont get mailed, she should change it to most often.
Are you a big time jumper? Maybe it loses things in the time swap... And maybe they don't mail out till both gates have been open in the WiFi? I dunno, we'll see! I mailed Kim a water can yesterday when I was back an hour, and then got on later with real time and saw that Sarahs gate was open, went there for a second and saw Kim. So, if it gets there or not, may be a good question.

I love Kim's town! It's cute and has oranges! I took some oranges back to plant and brought her back all the different fruit I had and we had a little planting spree & I showed her where and how to plant the coconuts. When she came back to my town, I showed her the bugs in the museum and told her how to catch each of them. I KNOW I was shoving tons of info down her throat but, I know she doesn't get a lot of time to play right yet, so, I thought I would show her as much as possible in the time we had!

I believe its 200,000 for a bridge
500,000 for a fountain
and 1,000,000 a choice of windmill or lighthouse.

I was just going to ask that. I have been putting a little in here or there, but only like 200 - 500 bells at a time.. Once the house is paid off, I will do more... Just got my second floor!

Doesn't seem to be glowy spots in the Wii version, but the Gamecube version had them.. You'd dig them up and find 1k bells, and if you turned around and buried bells in that same spot right away a few days later a tree would sprout with bags of bells on it.

Oh, and one of my guys lost his house key...anyone know how to help him find it?

Talk to him again, and he will tell you where he thinks he lost it, most of the time it's in the river, looks like a small fish

LOL, more questions again. So, I went into Gracie Grace's and saw their furniture...BOY is it expensive! How do we make this much money to pay 200000 bells for a bed? I'm not making that much money, so I'm confused.

Oh, and if we sell a fish (or fossil) to Nook, does it end up in the museum?

And what in the world are Mole Crickets? I mean I know how to catch them and all, but what good are they?

Lots and lots of fishing. I still can't afford anything from Gracie's place.

If you sell anything to Nooks it does not go into your museum. I've always
made a practice of donating my very first items to the museum. No matter what.

What can I say about mole crickets. Other than I hate them.
They are under ground and you have to dig them up. The only way to find them is by sound. You need your shovel and a net to catch them.

Are you on now? I can help you find them in your town.

You sell them! Fish, foreign fruit (anything not oranges), shells and things like mole crickets are income

Make sure you donate your first fish/insect to the museum to build up the exhibits. Also, if you get an invitation to Crazy Redds, buy the paintings from him, they go into the collection. But I have to warn you, sometimes the paintings are forgeries. That darn fox!

My house is completely paid off!

Now I am just paying towards the town fund to get that fountain.

I had to look after a sick animal - she was so sick that I had to keep giving her medicine for 4 days. Poor wee sausage!

Does anyone know where I can find a nice guide that shows all the bugs/fish available in the game and when they can be caught if they are seasonal? I only seem to catch the same things, so my museum is pretty bare except for the dino bones. I've caught probably about 5 different fish total, but only 1 bug so far.

I've never even seen a mole cricket but it sounds like some of the other towns are swarming with them!
