Morning peeps!

Stupid Monday

Its blinkin -22 degrees here today, and I am going to be

coming home from work tonight.

Going to meet with a potential florist today after work..Josh is not coming with me because "its the florist". Apparently he is too cool for flowers

Nothing much else, I didn't get enough sleep this weekend so I can't wait for next weekend to relax. I think we actually have no plans next weekend...thank god!

Well we only got about an inch last night just a warm up for later today thru Wed morning with 12 inches of heavy snow!!

Made sure we have enough gas for the snowblower. Its a balmy 16F (-9C) but temps to rise about 10 degrees.

So I have a casserole ready for dinner and have to carry in some firewood before work.

Despite the snow Neil is having a private woodturning lesson-he will take the truck though so it should be ok.

Having problems with Bobber though-she detests the pill taking process and has been real skittish the past couple of days. Plus we have to watch how we "grab" her due to the stitches. She clamps her mouth shut-its very hard to pry it open to pill her-6 days of this left-yikes!!

Morning All!!!

Well it's a chilly -26C here this morning

. I just took the garbage out and just about froze my butt off.

Nothing much planned for this morning, just catching up on emails, and puttering.

I have an appointment at 3:30 to have a new Health Card done so I am hoping that it warms up a bit before I have to go out for that.

The cold weather is playing havoc with my hands they are pretty sore today so am thinking of giving them a wax bath shortly.

The kitties are all sitting in the window but there isn't much to see the birds are not even at the feeder this morning because of the cold.

The only part of the planning that my hubby was interested in was the food and the mens' tuxes. We did silk flowers and they were lovely and my favorite part is that I got to keep them! Have fun!

I'm leaving work early today. My 101 year old grandmother passed away last week and I'm singing Ave Maria at her service today... then I get to go take a Finance final. Weeee!

Good Morning!

I am so glad I get to stay indoors today. It feels like 24F/-4C and that is the high today. At least the wind has diminished.

I have tons and tons of cleaning to do. Tomorrow St Vincent's is picking up Mom's old dining room table. The chairs are full of cat fur

. Sometime this week we have to pick up our set from storage

Mom's finally out of my way to vacuum upstairs. I have been trying for days. I wish we had one for each floor.

I am keeping my eye on Molly and calling the vet for an appointment. Her asthma is back. We were hoping to make it through the winter season without any shots or medicine. It might be time to change her treatment

Later today I hope to catch up on some shows I have been taping and curling up with a cat or three.

Boy, you guys are cold! Reminds me of waking up in college in Ithaca, NY where the weather report was a high of 2 F with a wind chill factor of -64 F.
(-17C, -53).

It is 43F (6) now and will only get up to 54F (12). But it is SO foggy! Yuck!

Looking forward to spending some time with our daughter who came home from college late Sat night. She got out early because she was student teaching this semester and had no finals. She started working at Barnes and Noble at 7 this morning.

Going to zumba today at 11 and I have to take Ben to the psychologist this afternoon. Other than that, I am doing laundry, as per usual.

Good afternoon

I so did not want to go to work today

It was about 36º F this morning when I woke up. BRR. Poor little Nero curled up in the blankets with me. There is no heat in our room, so it gets horrible in there. The heater/AC unit we have in there stopped blowing hot recently, so we cant even put that on. I wanted to take a mental health day from work, but I figured my boss would know I wasn't truly sick - we were all drinking together Friday, and he saw me at work Saturday!

Not doing too much at work though, the analyst is going to a Panthers game, and doesn't want too much work for tomorrow. So I've got to "procrastinate" in order to stay here until 4pm. Then I've got a couple things to buy at the store, go to the post office, pick up Rob, and hopefully get home before 8pm. (Last week we did not get home before 8pm once M-F). Then I'm going to bake chocolate chip cookies for one of the transmission shops that does R&R for Rob and his boss. And keep some cookies for me

Apparently they keep asking him "When is your wife going to bake more cookies?"

They must have really enjoyed them last time.

Not sure what's for dinner tonight. Maybe those bacon-wrapped honeymustard chicken tenders, since I didn't get to make those last week.
