Hey
So it's 4:03am here.
I made the mistake of procrastinating on a rather large assignment...which is due in just a bit less than 12 hours from now.
I fear that I may not sleep tonight...but am very impressed with the energy drink I got during frosh week that has been sitting in my fridge for such an occasion.
So...as a method of occasional "short breaks"....I ask you this:

What are you still doing up?

At the kitty's beck and call
Well, it's 9.05 am here and I'm working from home
at least until later today when I have to head in to work.

Good luck with the assignment - I have a number of students who I know were pulling an all-nighter last night for one of our assignments too

boo to cramps! My kitty who went over the bridge used to be the best hot water bottle substitute ever.
I hope they go away soon....and I hope I get more ideas for this project :p

It's 9pm, i'm exhausted and my brain is buzzing. I had my interview this morning for the Diploma in Visual arts. I got positives and negatives but i am being 'considered'. I've filled in 4 lots of forms with all the same information, paid $100 late application fee (which you don't get back even if you don't get into the course) showed my folio, sketchbook and canvases to the art co-ord (im starting from scratch because i didn't keep alot of what i made over the years). I'm waiting for one of two possible letters in the mail for either automatic invitation, or secondary choice. Then depending on that i get to go straight into the course, OR have to wait for more forms to be mailed out in January some time to tell me if i'm in or not.

Why did no one tell me these things were so complicated?

God, and that's without all the money for the 2 years, materials and books!!!

I am seriously weighing the pros and cons of a half hour nap....
Pro: sleep
Con: might not wake up
Pro: chance for sanity???
Con: maybe not...

It's now 3:00 am here & I caught the kitten-krazies from JC
I think he spied another cat or raccoon in the yard & woke me up with his yowling (actually, I have neck and joint pain tonight). I hope to go catch a catnap b4 work this am, tho.

As for those of you with cramps, you can try taking red raspberry leaf capsules. I am happy to report that some CVS pharmacies in the larger cities carry it now. It works wonders on cramps & also on cramps and diarrhea. 4 capsules to start, and then 2 in about 4 hours, as needed. You can also drink it in a tea, and it is usu. the main ingredient in the blends called "pregnancy tea" because it is also very effective in alleviating nausea. You might also benefit from a "berry blend" herbal tea that has hisbiscus and either blackberry or raspberry leaves in addition to fruit flavoring. Ginger water might help, too: put about 1/2 - 1 tsp. of powdered ginger in hot water, add sugar to taste. These (according to my doctors & pharmacists) can be used along with ibuprofen & aspirin)

Sending prayers and vibes that projects get done, and whatever-ails-you goes away

Another CA insomniac! That is, if you are in the CA part of the Mojave desert.

it is now 9:36am and I am about 3/4's of the way finished. I took Dragoriana's advice and slept for 2 hours. feeling much more capable now.

Does anyone else get really congested first thing in the morning if they haven't slept enough? man I hate that feeling

I slept most of the day and evening Sunday so I was up all night last night and went to bed about 6am this morning. I haven't been feling well so I'm tired all of the time anyway. I an't hear out of my left ear and I'm suspecting it's due to my sinuses (going to make an appt to see the doc). I have a history exam today so I've been studying for that.

Yes, I am in CA, just barely, I live in Needles, which is almost the very center of the Mojave

And I was very surprised to learn that it was an earthquake and not wind that shook my trailer a few nights ago.
Not just an earthquake, but an aftershock from a Ludlow quake that happened 9 years ago.
