That's funny! A friend was telling me about this commercial just today. I might be one of the few, I would love a really nice vacuum. I'm not opposed to a Dyson for Christmas??

Funny - my customers at work are telling me how offensive that is. Maybe it's the age group....many are older women (60+).

What am I supposed to be seeing? All I see is what looks like the side of a wall with a little green icon in the middle.

That was absolutely hysterical! I am totally forwarding that link to my friends! And I am single, for 2 years now......just think it could be because of bad gifts..........

Linda - a video should play - showing guys in "the doghouse". Not sure....you might not have the program required to run it?

Maybe you need a newer version of flash player?

I told my hubby if he gets me a vacuum cleaner, it better have a HEMI.

My dad gave my mom a vacuum cleaner for her birthday right after they'd gotten married. Funny they divorced that year as well.

I, on the other hand, would do a lot for a Dyson!

I should my DH this. Maybe he will rethink whatever gift. Last year I got a mop. Well he got a laptop.

That was great! Here's one along the same line.....I got this one last Christmas!

P.S. Personally, I'd LOVE a Dyson! Although, it would be even better if it came with something sparkley!

I am not into jewelry much. The only jewelry I wear on a regular basis is my wedding rings. But that video was hilarious!

As much as I love my Dyson ball DC25 Animal vacuum, I think if I got that for an anniversary gift or something, Rob would be led to the doghouse!

Aw, I appreciate any gift that someone is kind enough to get for me...

I do know a guy who gave his wife a talking scale (it would announce your weight to anyone within earshot) and she was pretty upset, lol.

if it's something you ask for, like actually say that you want it for xmas, then it's ok, even exciting to get... but when they pro-actively go out and buy you something like a vacuum, or a blender (<-- that happened to me!) just assuming that's what you would like, that's definately punishable by a stint in the doghouse!

My ex pulled something like that once but it only happened once. I talked a guy at work out of buying a vacumn for his wife for Christmas several years ago. It was that or a leather jacket, I talked him into the jacket. He couldn't understand because he liked getting tools for Christmas. Some guys just don't get it on their own, they need to be nudged in the right direction.

I would appreciate a new blender or vacuum - there are far worse things he could buy

My birthday is January 10 and I got a Miracle Thaw for my birthday. Ever heard of one of these things? Well, it's a piece of metal that you are supposed to sit your frozen food item (mainly meat) and it was supposed to miraculously unthaw it for you. Well mine didn't work. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that he got it on clearance from Walgreens earlier that day. 14 years together and he never once remembered my birthday without me telling him "it's my birthday". Christmas gifts usually consisted of similar items or sometimes he even bought me tools that he wanted himself. I divorced him in 2001.
