1. What is your favorite foreign food and favorite American food?
Italian food. I am not really sure what qualifies as American food because most foods are adaptations of foods from another country. But there is an old saying "as American as Apple Pie" so I will go with that. Partly because growing up in the state of Washington, we add a Washington Delicious apple tree in our back yard.

2. If you were given $1 million and could not spend it on anything for yourself or your immediately family - what would you use the money for?
Being a two time cancer survivor I would donate it to the American Cancer Society.

3. Would you own one of the "big cats" if you could?
As a teenager I worked for an exotic pet store. They had domesticated a female lion and I used to walk with it on leash. Seeing people's reactions was great. To answer the question, Yes! I would love to still be able to do that but I think it is now probably illegal everywhere in this country.

4. If you didn't live in Texas, where would you live?
The city that I was born in, Seattle. However, since DW works right next door to us at the college and plans to work there another decade, I cannot even conceive of that happening.

5. What kind of car do you own and what would you like to own?
I own a Porsche Boxster but would like to own a Porsche 911.

6. What have you bought that you woke up and said "why did I ever do something like that?"
The day I joined the USN with a buddy of mine, who was also 17 at the time. Neither of us had ever tasted alcohol but now that we were old enough to defend our country we thought we should be able to drink. After being sworn in, we had 6 hours to catch a prop cargo navy plane so we went down to the seamy side of Seattle and found ourselves a drunk who would buy the three of us a separate bottle of T-Bird. Many of you probably have no idea what that is but what it is is very cheap and very potent wine. We were feeling pretty good until we woke up on the plane bouncing around in a storm. We then entered the "commode (toilet) hugging" club. We were especially sorry when we had to stand at attention the following morning.

7. What is the funniest present you've given someone.
Dr. Ruth's "Sex for Dummies" book.

8. Do you have any regrets in what you've done in your life? If so, what?
I would have felt a lot better about my life had I not submitted to so many of my stepdad's beatings. At the time I joined the navy, I could have easily overpowered him and repaid him in kind.

1. Do your cats travel with you?
No, when DW and I travel it is usually to a foreign country. But I am fortunate in that I have three SILs in the area that take care of the cats when we are gone.
2. If yes, how much "stuff" do you take for them?

3. If no, what do they do while you're away from home? (I mean other than get in trouble).
I am absolutely convinced that the two cats hear what we are saying when we call our home phone number and when the answering machine says to leave a message. We set the recording time extra high when we are away so we can just talk to the cats. I am sure they gather around the answering machine and know who we are.
4. How many purses do you own? (Yeah, yeah, I know, male-type animal. But some guys do carry purses
)
I have a couple of those purses or bags on a belt. My main objective in ever buying one of those was to keep a day's supply of film with me at all times when travelling. But since film has all but went away, I have found lots of other uses for them.
5. How many pairs of shoes---no, forget that one. What is your favorite pair of shoes?
On the other hand you could have asked me how many shoes DW had, in which case my brain may have melted there on the spot. My favorite shoes are a pair of Rockports that look like dress shoes but can easily be used for light hiking.
6. How many pets have you had in your life?
A total of ten cats and seven dogs. My mother used to breed chihuahuas but I never claimed any of them as my pet. I wanted a dog. I also had 2 budgies that I named the not so original Romeo and Juliet.
7. Since you and your wife have such different tastes in music, what do you do for entertainment?
Give and take. I go to her operas and she goes to my rock concerts. We have a new hobby that we do on weekends. Going to small towns in Texas that have small town plazas. Towns that will probably dry up and be razed some day but they are interesting. And historic. You see historic signs everywhere you look in these towns. Answer me this, how could there be anyplace that was NOT historic? Several of the small towns like Granbury that we go to still have drive in movies.

1.- Wich one is the most crazy thing that have you ever do it???? ( I mean for example, Jump in parachute, Take a Snake live, Jump in Bungee etc)
Hoy voy a contestar todos las preguntas en espanol. No es verdad, es una broma. Creo que la palabra correcta es peligroso, no loco.

I used to race motocross end despite the fact that I would continue to break bones, I would buy bigger and bigger machines to race with. Now that is both crazy and dangerous!

2.- Do you have indor plants at home?
Only on the balconies where the cats are never allowed without close supervision.

3.- If you can travel in time and to meet to some historycal person WHO would be and Tell us why?
Actually, this was an earlier question but I will answer it again: Fyodor Dostoevsky, author of Crime and Punishment and many other excellent 19th century Russian novels.

4.- If you have the money power to move to some part of the world ( of course with your kittys) wich place would be and why.....
I used to own a home in Antigua, Guatemala. I bought it when I was going to school there, right in the middle of the civil war so I got it very cheaply. When the war ended, I sold it for ten times what I paid and DW wanted to buy a condo there. I finally took her down to Antigua and showed it to her and she fell in love with the old city.

5.- What is the thing that really anoy you on the persons.......( for example: the hypocresy, the envy etc)

People that want me to think and believe exactly as they do and force their religion, language, and political beliefs on me.

6.- Are you Religious?

I think I will avoid this question with the answer DW always gives: I am spiritual.

7.- Favourite Salad?

Ceasar salad but hold the anchovies!

8.- favourite pop soda?
I like Jarritos soda pop because if you look at the ingredients you will see that it is made with pure cane sugar. I for one can tell the difference between real sugar and corn syrup.
9.- Choose one would you prefer to watch Sunrise
or Sunset and tell us why......
It seems that a sunset is more spetacular, especially when the clouds are just right and the ocean is the only distractor. Besides, sunsets are more romantic, are they not?

10.- Do you have a car? wich type is it?....
I have a Porsche but my wife has a BMW SUV that we use when driving to places like Guatemala, that can withstand the Colonial town's beautiful but never made for cars, cobblestone streets.

1. What's your favorite hobby?...

You have provided a cute little picture directly above that describes my hobby exactly. A picture is worth a thousand words as they say.
2. What's one trait you hate about yourself?....

Procrastination. Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow!
3. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment:….

One of course is answering your questions. Also Persi is laying here and when I finish this I need to brush him. He was waiting for me to brush him this morning but I decided to do these questions first. And the third thing on my mind is my right foot which had surgery yesterday.
4. What do you read in the bathroom?....

A magazine, usually Road and Track.
5. Current worry right now?....

The fact that my new home is now worth less than I owe on it and my 401K has lost 40% this year. But I am not alone, the economy has affected nearly everybody in one way or the other.
6. Hight heels or low heels are you wearing right now?....

Otra vez, soy un hombre! Actually, I have nothing on my feet right now.
7. Favorite place to be on weekends?....

Taking the Porsche with the top down and visiting small rural towns in Texas.
8. Where would you like to go?.....

Stated in an earlier question, I want to finally go to Iran with my wife this coming May. We have been wanting to go for several years but now we are now not worried about bombs dropping on us in Tehran.
9. What´s your Favourite HOT beverage….

Coffee. I have been trying to get Persi to go upstairs and get me another cup but he just lies here staring at me so guess I have to go get my own coffee.
10. What colour Tshirt are you wearing right now?

Grey. Or is it Gray?

Do you own any thong underwear? - yes, men wear them.
The closest thing I have to that would be my Speedo swim suit. (Why is it called a suit?)

Do you have any tatoos?
Have you ever known anybody that was in the USN and owned 3 Harleys that did NOT have tattoos? Both of my forearms have tattoos and my left shoulder has a tattoo. I meant to get the right shoulder tattooed for balance but did not. So that explains why I walk with a list towards the left.

Does DW pick out your clothes?
Yesss! And of course she spends MUCH more money than I would. And all the clothes must come from Neiman-Marcus. But I know why she does this! It always occurs when she has spent a lot of money on clothes for herself! That makes her feel less guilty by buying me stuff I don't even want!

Do you like Karaoke and have you done it? What is your favorite song to sing? How many beers do you have to have to make you sing?

It seems like everybody and I do mean everybody knows the words to Margaritaville. And American Pie. I have done those after several beers but I will not reveal my interpretation of several at this time.

Have you ever seen the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall?
No, but I have walked by there several times. Does that count for anything?

1. Do you have any phobias?

Yes, the fear of high places.
2. What is your favorite dessert?

Flan. It is a Mexican desert which resembles custard and is topped with caramel.
3. Have you had any embarrassing moments? Which was the most embarrassing?

I have probably been more embarrassed but just recently in the Behavior section of the forums, I related Persi playing with my hearing aid.

4. What makes you happy?

Being with positivie, happy people. People that realize that politics, religion, and negative comments are not welcome at my gatherings.
5. Do you enjoy playing or watching any sports?

Living right across the street from Dallas, I go for the boys. But I am astounded that they are fighting for their life just to make the playoffs. The NYG had a 10-6 record last year but they won the superbowl. Everybody considers it a fluke. But look at who is going to the superbowl
again. I wish you would ask questions that don't make me so mad!

Is there a type of food that you don't like?

OKRA! Here is my legal argument; If God or creation created the world, he or evolution also created MJ. So all the kings and presidents of the world say God made a mistake by creating MJ. God made a mistake? Wow, If I were the King of the entire world, I would outlaw okra and anybody that accidently touched it would burn forever in the lake of fire.
7. What piece of furniture is your favorite?

Our loveseat in the den. This is where I actually cuddle my real wife!

8. Where do you like to go on vacation?

My wife and I have been to 18 countries in seven years. The most memorable was Eygpt, where we spent 24 days exploring the country on our own. No disgusting travel agencies were used I might point out. People can do whatever they have a mindset to do. When we left for Eygpt, DW had just had surgery on her feet. We later passed a holy shrine in Alexandria, and my marvelous wife threw her crutches into the pit of crutches and cains that is much publicized. As I have stated elsewhere, we are not religious but spiritual. Right now, I have a serious problem with my right foot. I do not believe in superstition or magic but we are considering Alexandria as a side trip to Tehran.

BTW, I have never once been to IMO. But at this time I will say this: My wonderful Iranian (axis of evil according to W) wife and I will visit the rest of her (which means our) family in May and not worry about bombs being dropped all around us.
9. What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Stop smoking! Even though I realize this is great advice, I continue to ignore it and smoke my pipe and cigars, all without any inhalation.)

Yeah a few more great questios. Just wait until you are the featured spotlight!\\

1. If you could do any job in the whole wide world starting tomorrow, what job would it be?
Depends on your definition of job. A job to me means how I make a living.
I wish I had Mick Jagger's job. Making millions and still having women going insane over me. BTW, we have the exact same birthday, I wonder which one of us was born first.

2. What is the worse practical joke that you've ever played on someone?
Wow, you are one good question maker. I think you are probably too young to remember paper tape used in computers. They produced something called chad. They were attached to teletypes and had to be emptied periodically. I decided I was going to empty one of these in my best friend's Mercedes. Fine and good. He drove a very unusual orange Mercedes so when I saw an orange Mercedes in the parking lot, I filled it full of chad. Just as I was leaving from performing my great practical joke, my best friend arrived in an orange Mercedes! To this day (30 years later) I have no idea whose car I trashed!

3. What is the worse practical joke that you've had played on you?
Same "friend". BTW, we have spent our lives playing jokes on each other. It is hard to believe we are the best of friends after all of the **** we have done to each other. OK, your question: I was somewhat happily married at the time and there was a very cute young lady working in the office at the time. He started leaving very suggestive notes to the lady at work on her desk. The problem was that he was purposely not using or signing my name but leaving clues that it was me. She figured out that it was "me" and confronted me. Things went by leaps and bounds and I found my self living with this woman who was the most lusted after woman at work. Great joke. Ended in divorce. After living with the woman for 14 months we parted ways. I fell for another woman in the office. No practical joke this time.

4. Do you secretly drink out of the milk or juice container?
God, you are good! These are brilliant questions! Uh, yeah. What about it?

5. Have you ever been out on a "pity date?" (A date you didn't want to go on but didn't know how to say "no" without hurting the person's feelings.)
My present wife and I met on the internet. She at first was hesitant in admitting this in public but I showed her the millions of happy marriages that resulted. Of course I went through many pity dates just as women that could never be compatible with me considered me; a pity date. Women lie. Men lie. Especially about age and weight. I had set up a date with a match.com type service and the woman plainly told me she was
pushing 300 lbs. We met in the parking lot of a mall! Anyway, I get into her SUV and she is the most forward woman I have met in my life. We talk about things including intimate things and after about 90 minutes of pure hell she tells me that we have nothing in common. She tells ME. My pride was hurt beyond belief but I was never so happy as I was with the outcome of this "date".

6. Have you ever been afraid while watching a scary movie?
YES! And this is so fantastic that you have asked this because last night I saw the original THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. This movie scared me to death when I was a young lad. What is so cool about this is that I am taking my nephew, who is the exact same age as I was, to see the remake of this movie tomorrow, in IMAX. I am positive I will not be scared tomorrow!

7. Have you ever slightly unwrapped a present before the special day in order to see what it was?
Ha! I have done something much better! Since DW and I were using the same rolls of wrapping paper, I replaced her gift under the tree with a weighted box of the same size and dimensions under the tree. When I saw what she had bought me, I drastically changed the gift that I originaly had intended. Bad boy! Evil! Yeah, but I bet a woman thought about doing this before I did!

8. Do you have any "famous actor/singer" crushes? Who?
Stevie Nicks. DW at one time was very jealous of my crush on her. I assured her that it was Fleetwood Mac and not Stevie that I was obsessed with. DW ended up buying me supreme tickets to the solo performance of Ms. Nicks in Dallas. I was close enough to see the amazing beauty of this near sixty year old woman. God, what a woman! OK, DW you have no equal. But still...

9. What is the one question that you have always wanted someone to ask you?
My dear, you are asking a man that question! TheCatSite.com is a family friendly site. I in all good concience cannot answer this question. Yeah, of course it has something to do with a word ending in x.

10. Have you ever switched the price on an something to get a better deal?
Nope, I just steal things.
Hey, this is just another joke.

11. Have you ever been given too much change, or more than you purchased, and known, but didn't say anything?
I travel a great deal and people in other countries with varied currencies think I am a dummy like every other American that comes to their country when it comes to money. In some of the countries I go to I imagine this is one of the only ways they have of feeding their family so I say nothing. They assume most Americans have no idea of what their money is and they are absolutely right. In more affluent countries, I do not let them take advantage of me.

12. If your wife had refused your proposal, who would you be married to today?
OK, let's get something straight right now. Women propose to men. Women suggest going on a date. Yes, women's lib is a thing of the past. My present wife is an aggressive soul. She goes after what she wants. And for better or worse, she got me.

another set!...

Yes, another evil set!

Dear Members: CoolCat is such a great member!
Not only does she remind us of when everybody's birthday is, she keeps this spotlight on members thing rolling! I think this is a fabulous way of knowing our members. This will be my last answering of questions. I hope that CoolCat's and other questions on this forum have helped you know
me better. I have answered all questions as truthfully as I know. Tomorrow I will be passing this torch to GoldyCat. Please get to know her. Ask her questions. I have had fun and some torment in answering the questions presented to me. It is indeed a challenge that I know GoldyCat will carry on. And now for my final answers. (Did you hear that, Regis?)
1. Have you ever to sleeped on satin sheets?

Well, yes. Satin sheets suggests something more than sleep to me, but than again, I am just a dirty old man.

2. Can you whistle?
Yes. I can whistle a whole song. But you have brought up an unexpected issue. I cannot blow a bubble with bubble gum. This really irritates me! All my life I have tried to blow bubbles with bubble gum with no success.

3. Favorite color?

Too easy. Look at the color I am typing in.

4. Would you be a Pirate? (Disguise for Halloween) or what else?

The first word I think of when I hear the word Pirate is rum.
Have you ever noticed that rum comes in 151 proof?
Do you know why? Because tax used to be levied on weight.
Very clever. Once that took hold, wine merchants began taking
the water out of wine and replaced it later. In the interim, it was called Brandy. But back to your question, Pirates seem to be honored today in U.S. movies. And around 300 years ago, this might seem to be a lot more
lucrative than today, although I just heard recently that piracy is alive and well in the Carribean.

5. What songs do you sing in the shower?

Oh solo mio. Of course, who sings anything else?

6. Favorite Girl's Name?

There is no chance that my wife will see this as she has just landed in Hawaii, but her name of Sharifeh is beautiful to me. She has "adapted" to American culture and goes my Sheri now. This is a very sore point with me. It may come as a great surprise, but in this city of Dallas and surrounding areas there are over 100,000 Iranians. Of course this is something I never had any comprehension of until my wife met me. My positition is that for instance Chinese that become Americans and change their name to Frank because Americans are too stupid to prounce their real name are going all about it wrong. KEEP your real name. EDUCATE the rednecks who have never stepped out of this country.

7. Favorite Baseball Team?

Seattle Rainers. This was a minor league club and was the love of my life.
I have no favorite team anymore and hate baseball for what it has become. It is to sad for me that the love of my life has became a sport that no longer has any attraction to me.

8. Favorite boy's name?

Carlos. I love the sound when pronounced correctly which very few Americans can do.

9. What's in your pocket right now?

OMG! OMG! Why don't you ask me what is in my...well, never mind, give me a minute while I empty out my pockets. I have something that Persi was playing with on the stairs with this morning, It looks like some kind of electronic something or other. I also have trupence. My wallet. A lighter which I intend to use in a few minutes to smoke some pipe tobacco. Oh, in my other pocket I have the keys to my Porsche.

10. Last thing that made you laugh?

My post in the Behavior forum about the $1800 cat toy!

.
