The question today is a age old one, or at least from 1974 on..

Star Trek VS Star Wars which would you choose?

For me it's Star Trek....I have been a Trekkie since before the word Trekkie existed. I actually dressed up as Spock for Halloween in 1970. My mom made the ears for me out of some quilt batting and pink fabric. I thought they were the coolest thing in the world.

Star Trek all the way!!! Just look at all the "futuristic" stuff they used and now some have adapted into our technology.

Except the transporter-that would be so cool.................

Great question. I guess deep down I'd have to say Star Trek. I didn't like the original Trek back in the 60s but now I get a real kick out of it. TNG was my favorite.
Like CoolCat, I really like Star Wars 4, 5, & 6; 1, 2, & 3 were soooo disappointing. I especially disliked the 'evolvement' of Padama's character, going from a strong independent queen to what I considered a weak woman who couldn't live without her man.

Great question!!!

As a baby boomer, I'm happy to say that I was able to experience both Star Trek and the original Star Wars when they happened! I really enjoyed Star Wars, even the music was good! I have to admit though, Star Trek was the best!!! They addressed so many social and environmental issues, yet never seemed 'preachy.' And the character development through out the entire television series stayed consistant. I just loved it!

I never got "into" Star Trek -- I was anti-a-lot-of-popular-things at that point in my life. And as others have said, the original Star Wars (IV,V,VI) were great, the later ones not so much.

I'm really not into eithor of them, but more specifically I can't stand Star Trek (sorry!!) The whole thing is just totally weird to me. That and my brother in law is a total treky- to the point that it's seriously disturbing, he even goes to the they have confrences and dresses up! (I love him, so I can laugh at him for that). His ringtone is star trek, he has figurines, the whole 9 yards lol.

I guess if I had to watch anything, it'd be Star Wars...I don't mind those movies so much.
