Well, she finally decided it was time just before 4 am. She woke me up by digging in the litterbox intensely. Then, she proceeded to climb into bed under the covers and started having contractions. I tried for about 20 minutes to convince her to stay in the closet. I was finally successul and the first baby was born. I assisted just to make sure it could breathe.

To make a long story short, she had 4 altogether, all healthy and quite active. I haven't been able to get them to nurse yet though, but they're trying!!! She's been tightly curled up with them, so there's not alot of access to boobies, but they aren't crying much and are sleeping at last glance. All the kittens weighed a good amount, 92grams for 3 of them and the runt was 84...the tortie....only calling it a runt because it is the smallest.

Here are some pictures, most are not very good, but I know I had better post them so you all could see. I will post more, not to worry

She did a wonderful job and just in time too. We're having a xmas party at the house this evening and I wanted them born before I had to entertain hubby's department at work.

Now, I am going back to bed, won't get much more sleep but I'm certainly going to try.

FIRST BORN

SECOND BORN

THIRD BORN WAS A TORTIE (NO INDIVIDUAL PIC)

LAST BORN was very curly black one with white whisker pads and sleeves...very cute.

Thanks everyone for your comments!! They are so very cute, aren't they?

Addie,

Mom and Dad are both Devons, just they're both low on hair LOL. Bonnie is a Sphynx cross so she's quite bald actually. The black one is quite wavy, the others not as much but definitely not straight. We'll have to wait and see when their kitten fur sheds because Bonnie had a full coat of hair at 4 weeks and was bald when we got her.

They are nursing now, so that worry is out of my mind now

They are precious little things though, and I'm so thankful it's over and I can quit talking about it!!!

Oh right, happy anniversary! I love Devons and Sphynx...they are so very personable and people-oriented.

I will take more pictures and post them. I have to get this house and the food we're serving ready for the xmas party this evening.

It's going to be a long day, I'm so tired LOL. Oh well, I'm ecstatic as well!

Aww I love calico litters as you get a rainbow of colors. That's why my breeding cats were torties/calicos. Funny how the Cornish and Devon kittens both look very much the same when born (curly fur).

They are all pure dolls for sure. I love the way they look as they are all so different from each other. I can't wait to see them grow and have fun socializing them. My last litter turned out so well and I'm hoping for the same results with these ones.

I love that they all turned out differently, and Bonnie is doing really well with them. She is really protective over them, much more than my last mom.

And to top it all off, I get to stay with them full time in the spare room...I absolutely love that part.

More pictures on the way, just need sleep first LOL. I enjoy sharing with everyone and knowing you all love cats as much as I do, I know we all beg for kitten pics
