Hi I called the only vet now that I trust and he does not do housecalls so I have to take my cat in for his shots. They said he would get Rabies, Distemper and Feline Lukemia shots, Please tell me if My cat will be fine after these shots? he has had them before I believe, I can't find his record book after we moved and I am so worried about him, I don't want him to get sick,

Also if I go adopt a cat that has been tested for Feline Lukemia and aids, and says up to date on routine shots, then will it be fine to bring it into my house with my other cat?

Thank you

Mine never get the leukemia shot anymore and Coco and Meeko do not get rabies because both got very sick from them.
I also lost lucy from a shot.
Are your cats indoor or out.

now that you just said that, I am not taking him on Monday. I just lost a cat from getting her declawed and I am a mess so there is no way my baby is going in. Will he be ok if I bring in another cat from a shelter that says up to date on shots and tested for aids and lukemia? I just want to protect him from something that another cat could have
Any advice would be great. thank you

Keep them seperated at first and have the new cat checked.
I have a new cat coming monday if the weather is not to cold.
She can never have a leukemia shot.
Its on the contract from the breeder.

My male is 9 years old and I was going to get another male but will an adult female be better for him? I want him to be happy, any advice on introducing them, I don't want a kitten or young cat because everyone wants young ones I want an adult.

I think it really depends on the cat.
I just have girls right now because my male was pts last Jan at age 5.
My cats all get along fine.
See what cat comes to you.
You go slow when you introduce them.
I leave the new cat in the carrier atfirst and let them sniff each other.
